Maybe it's because you too young. Barry is actually 53 years old. But he still isn't a bad player, this year he made a great 145 break at the WC qualifying. And he actually has his own 147, he made it, perhaps, around two decades ago, if I'm not wrong.

I never did make a 147. I was potentially on one once, but missed a red on 96. My highest ever break was 139, I made that was when I was just 15. Sadly, I never quite got to the standard to become a professional.

Closest i've ever gotten to a maximum (while it was still on) is 56. The split on the reds has to go your way and i'm just trusting to hope when I play a canon like that. Whereas these pros are pretty reliable at calculating the optimum point of contact, pace and spin. Highest break otherwise is 71. I'll crack the century one day. And probably never hit the 147. Especially as I haven't played in over a year now.

I've had total clearances, many hundred breaks and multiple frames with 2 70+ breaks in the same frame but was just never good enough to get a 147. Gutted. Its next level above us.
