I grew up by the beach, moved to an even wealthier upper class neighborhood, and grew up with "the fake don't tell what goes on behind closed doors attitude". I was abused terribly. First chance I got, I moved to the inner city hood. That had its own problems. Now, I'm back in middle class suburbia with my own family. What I learned was I couldn't run away from my problems, and I had to find peace inside of me. I am very fortunate to have seen both sides of life, and it was a humbling experience. Made me realize there are a lot of great people in this world no matter where you come from. Though, I prefer to not deal with the level of crime in the hood.

There are two types of suburbs, white collar and blue collar. If more people have office jobs and drive Mercedes or bmers (bmws), it's a white collar neighborhood. If more people work with their hands in a trade, it's a blue collar neighborhood. White collared neighborhoods are wealthier suburbs (not rich, but middle to upper class). Blue collared suburbs are lower middle to middle class. Our neighborhood has many nurses, and trades people, but everyone keeps their yards looking nice, they maintain their homes, and have pride in their properties. We live in a middle class blue collared neighborhood. The rich are rarely seen outside of their homes, they have drivers and multi car garages for their car collections. They spend most of their time in the city, or on vacation. Their kids are away at private schools.
