Had this been a solo queue game, Aqua may have just jumped down to fight. Which could have still resulted in them winning, but it was a good call by Towa for the safer option to get champions. Their team play is getting better. God I love these 3. Even if they don't participate in any more tourneys in the future, I hope they'll at least be able to play Apex together again.

Not really, Towa has now tamed the mad dog and just telling Aqua to "stay". Aqua was only playing as wraith this session aka be the forward recon and damage dealer, there's really not much of them being the safety net for Aqua and Aqua really playing more around the team this session. It literally doesn't matter which is proven in the video. They were going to win regardless and could've even secured more kill points if aqua jumped down there earlier. Its a safe Strat in the tournament but aqua is in no way wrong for wanting to third party 2 squads on the verge of death. Don't forget the reason they were also so low is because of aqua. She couldve won that entire last fight herself, just as she's previously done complete 1v3s. The only difference is that this time the remaining squad had no HP left. Towa-tards acting like aqua doesn't know what she's doing blows my mind. Aqua is the de facto igl of startend, not towa.

@@XLEZZY_REUPLOADS for ranked grind and causal play aqua would do fine being a forward igl, but for tournaments I think towa is definitely better, she has more experience with that environment and doesn't get into a bloodlust mode where she shuts down and just goes for that last kill, even if theoretically aqua could have got more kills, what if one of the enemy team managed to get up the cliff somehow, or grenades startend out the ring? Would have been a shame

For anyone who doesn't get it why aqua not going down, wraith has a skill that make herself untouchable and negate any damage taken from her (going into the void), so the reason why towa telling her to stay at the top instead going down trying to kill the bottom team (assuming she can kill all of them without risking bounce of the ring) is so that she can use that skill to make herself not receiving any ring damage and delay the damage she get from the ring closing and let the bottom team die to ring first before aqua. And lastly, a portal. Aqua keep saying she has a portal ready, another strat that almost identical to the first one, but a lot more longer cause you can just keep going back an forth inside the portal without recieve any damage that last for at least 3-4 sec. So yeah, towa's decision to keep aqua stay at the top is soooooo perfect.

It wasnt included in this clip, but earlier before this fight when they're trying to secure the high ground, Aqua with her Mad Dog tendencies pushed solo, as in too far away from both Suisei and Towa, and Towa keeping in comms that "Aqua you're too far from us", "We're too separated", or something along the same line. Followed by Towa again saying "Team play, team play!" Aqua may have been crazy good but I wish Towa get more credits for the tournament-worthy call-outs. Wish for her to have a good rest since she used too much of her voice this match.

Towa also predicted that someone would use valk ult below to get on the top after they finished all teams on the top in which they focused fire to maintain their spot. She also command Suisei to always watch their backs while they think of their next plan. She's getting better in IGL while using her favorite character Gibraltar which is impressive.

True, but tbh it hard to comment as well, the luck is important too compare with their last few days match. As you can see mad Maggie with his coach on top (which killed by aqua later when towa said aqua that too far away with full health) Even she said it far, but as you check it just like few meter away she and suisei definitely can assist aqua at that range (maybe she got mislead by the map that make it look far away. Also since there was no enemy on the right side at that moment clearing the nearby enemy on the left side to make sure they won’t get kill by them later. (Luckily the enemies in the bridge fighting each other But true, fighting solo really a bad habit of aqua while she play as a team, but also thanks to that she got a lot of kp. Welp what can I say, skills and luck are important in this game, I am really happy that they got champion on stream. Wish them good luck in tournament as well.

Aqua is the more skilled player but Towa is sooo smart. Usually most people would send Aqua down if they were aiming for extra kill points. Instead, they kept their most survivable member safe in the middle of the ring so Towa and Sui-chan could go for the extra kill points at a very low risk play for their overall win. Great decision making.

Both (either Aqua or SuiTowa went down) could go well I think. The center of the ring was on top so they'd outsurvived Hinano's team no matter what. They didnt even need to go down at all even if enemie's valk ult, Aqua got Q to survive the ring. They went down (as Towa said) to secure the KP.

Though they're the lowest points overall champion out of all scrim days thus far, previous days the champions are more consistent at getting mid-high points every round. 4th day kuzuha team didn't really perform like they were before for some reason, probably because other teams stepped up and even the playing grounds. Yeah it'll be more interesting from here on out, spotted a few other weaker teams that also getting better over time, like Ars Almal team for example.

In that match you can really tell why people calls Aqua "Mad dog" in Apex, she's really aggressive the whole match even Towa is having a hard time and losing her voice with just holding the leash of Aqua. The last call from Towa on the last part was so smart, securing the win while also taking the possible kill points. It was on the non official custom (the first custom they streamed). Different situation tho, because they had to go down back then because the center of the ring were down. This match is different, high ground was the perfect spot because the center was there.

@@gonoki888 I was thinking about the time outside harvester, when they were separated by the catwalk next to the stairs. Center was accessible both above and below. All 3 of them dropped to take the fight but lost with no one to attempt surviving via healing. But yeah this zone was heavily favored for them, which is why it was so important for someone to stay up.
