@@Oliviaandtrina its due to the fact that he is a child/teen stuck in a 40 year old man's body. He fantasize about his dream that he couldn't achieve when he was a kid, so when he's faced with adult's problems and financial problems, he blames it on his family and his situation but never himself. This clearly points to narcissistic personality disorder to a psychotic level because he never seeks out treatment (most likely never realized he's mentally unstable and thought he was sane and making sense) and resorted to HIS own solution to the problem by thinking that HE is in the right and no one else can tell him otherwise. This is an extremely dangerous behavior that even the hints of it needs to be addressed and looked at right away. He doesn't even view his daughter as his own child at that point, he ACCEPTED and came to peace with his mind that killing his child is no big deal. Proves how insane and evil he really is.

To me this screams of a guy who lived every year of his life thinking, “it’ll get better, it’ll get better, as soon as this and this and this… everything will be perfect”. He just didn’t have a “big enough” issue in his life before this point. His daughter graduating was his sign that “oh I’ll never be happy ever”. The videos of himself lmk that he thinks he has/had a “grander” life that he isn’t living. This guy started out in childhood saying to himself, “whelp if it doesn’t work out, I can always take myself out”, and never let that mindset go.

The bizarre thing here is that Peter's whole reasoning for killing his family was financial pressure generated by them, but his videos indicate that he was aware that he'd be living day to day, stealing to survive, and would likely die quickly. It seems so much more logical to simply get a divorce and keep the money he makes. But I suppose an insane person doesn't think logically.

you know I thought about this and then I realized if he didn’t want his daughter or wife, then he would still be paying her considering she is most likely unemployed, so if they took it to the courts idk, he probably thought that would cost just as much if not more. by no means am I saying his actions were justified, obviously he could he literally just told her how he felt in the first place. As ironic as it sounds, I think it makes some sense to me. I don't really think it's about the financial pressures as it is about his resentment for life and resentment towards his wife and adult daughter, his "family life". He seems to have been hopeless and resentful towards people for a large portion of his life. He was selfish and cowardly so stealing for himself and putting himself in that position wouldn't be the same pressures as other people "putting" him there. and I say that with some sarcasm since he worded it that way but, no one can force you into a position if you have options to leave/change. What a miserable man.
@ryry2040 Жыл бұрын
I think it makes logical sense. He’s been wanting to build and live in a bunker away from people since a child. This isn’t mental illness, it’s a product of what happens when you try to socialize a psychopath. They don’t want to be around people, and so he finally chose to do what his heart truly wanted. Killing wasn’t what he wanted to do, but it was what he had to do in order to fulfill his dream. This is a mere result of socialization and social pressure on introverted individuals who truly in their heart want to be alone. People who think society is perfect live with entitlement. This is a stark reminder that evil can reside inside the most ordinary of people. His wife seemed attractive and upbeat, and his daughter had come of age and had her whole adulthood to look forward to. Peter complained of not having any money, but he had a house and withdrew from the bank much more than the average American has in checking or savings. Life is a lot about perspective, and Peter simply didn't see the wonderful things he had going for him, and for whatever reason could only see negatives. This is a strange case in that Peter was not the killer you would most expect, nor least expect. He was just an average dude who was severely depressed, and able to hide his sinister intentions from his family as his thoughts grew darker and darker.
@xstingrayx Жыл бұрын
Thats the Thing with Depression. Perspective as you mention it, can be very distorted. At some point i assume he wasnt strong enough to get divorced for example, because the initial talk to his wife would be impossibly hard to face for someone who is that depressed. Making his final decisions easier to accomplish. I wish more people knew the trivial fact that depression has a huge bandwith of All sorts of mental distortion phases or states where anything can go through their minds. People who say they are also depressed but would never do anything he did, just dont have the same illness. Depression as a term is not specific enough on its own. Its like saying someone is sick but one has a cold and another one cancer.

Do you have $6200 in your savings, living on your own, paying your own bills with a steady flow of income? Life actually existed before you became an adult, my dad made $17/hr and mom made $7 and managed to buy a home in 1990. I'm basing the financial part on 2008-2012 economy. Shooting two innocent people in the head isn't killing? I know 2023 has relax crime laws now so a lot of crimes go unpunished, but in what world is intentionally shooting two people in the head in their bed not killing? This constitute as murder. A liberal mindset will call it a slave life because they want everything for free instead of going out and getting it. Welcome to the real world, put in work and stop crying about everything. Hearing Lynette quote the words her sister told her, that she'd "regret it if she didn't" (date Peter) actually is so sad to hear, because it just makes you think how if she didn't marry him, this wouldn't have happened to her. And imagine how his daughter felt when she saw the gun and realised why he took her to record him practicing his shots, that realisation must've hurt so bad.

@@jerkface38 That’s what it seems like, if we’re to believe his words. If he was truly pissed about “she’s taking all my money”, divorce wasn’t an option for him because then she still gets his money. (Clearly openly & honestly discussing financial & marital issues would’ve been a better option but, also clearly, that dude lost his damn mind)

@@jerkface38 Well, allright, she isn't okay nor is that at all normal, but don't give in to resentment. She owes you nothing afterall, just like you don't to her - the most mature thing would be to just let her be like that but not to you, find and give time to people who care about you. The more energy and thought you give to people like that, other people's stupidness or indecisiveness, the more it starts to say about you, you know. There are millions and millions of girls your age all around the world.

Why does a husband have to drag his entire family down to his grave with him? This is sickening. His daughter was grown and graduated, his job was in some sense done. His wife seemed sad in most of her videos too, all she wanted to do was to make arts and craft, and make her family happy. God bless the victims. Seemed like good people and did not deserve what happened to them.

It's called a family annihilator, he probably feels he takes responsibility for his wife and daughter, so if he's gone, what do they do? They will rely on others friends or family, and a family annihilator who feels that's it's their responsibility, doesn't want that, so it's easier to just get rid of it, for lack of better terms. It's more common in people who have a spouse who has health problems, or who have small children
