@@Lockz1111 Rajang, Teostra, and Kushala were in the orginial stories game, but not as monsties. Then came the Japan exclusive v3.0 update that added more Story, and the aforementioned 3 becoming available Monsties; even with their free content updates’ road map already shown, I think (and hope) there will be a bit more content added with each update than what’s been advertised, namely Monstie-less Monsters already in-game gaining Monsties. (and that last sentence might of been my weirdest sentence I have typed out in my life so far)

Y'know I really do hope they add some more monsties from World/Rise down the line, if only for the utter wonder of hatching an egg and seeing a chibi baby Vaal Hazak gazing at you with oversized soulless eyes, somehow still clad in rotten flesh, or a Magnamalo that's as edgy fresh out the egg as it is all grown up. I can imagine a baby Vaal Hazak with no rotten flesh to cover after hatching and then suddenly getting a cloak of flesh out of nowhere when the game asks if you want to name it. They did it with Nerscylla and its subspecies in the previous game.

I was also confused by the face grabbing, until later in the game when you meet the third partner and Novirou explains that it's how his people say hello.... ya takes until the third area for that little tid bit of info to be dropped, up until then i thought our character was super overly affectionate.

Pretty sure it's a reference to how polynesian people greet each other since the player is from an island nation. In native Hawaiian and Māori culture, they greet each other by touching foreheads or rubbing noses.

Based on how big I've seen both of them from 3rd gen, then duramboros has to be huge for deviljho not to overpower him. Deviljho is just way to fast, aggressive, mobile and determined for a meal for duramboros's slow movements to repel him unless the duramboros is that much bigger than deviljho

Why are all the Yian Garuga in this game Scarred Yian Garuga? I mean Yian Garuga seems to get stronger the more brutally it gets maimed but its still quite gruesome when you get your own one. I have a Turf War concept for Duramboros vs Glavenus. Duramboros initiates the fight with a tail smack to Glavenus' face, which Glavenus dodges. Glavenus then does a sword tail slam to Duramboros' body, then follows up with a body slam, knocking Duramboros over, thus winning the Turf War.

One thing that I already learned is that the Difficult version of Kulve Taroth and (most likely) Fatalis are going to be actually difficult with an AI partner. Alwin single handedly lost me my first attempt at the high difficulty Basarios Quest because he kept charging his bow instead of engaging in a Head-to-Head.

Especially because Rise is a lot less dense with nature detail than World. Not to mention that the areas are more open and stuff like trees are destructible. Also, I think you can't a Duramboros egg because I don't think they LAY eggs in the first place. It's got huge mammalian vibes, after all.

I think he does really. If Misty Peaks was to come back, he's basically guaranteed. Since we already have Zinogre, Arzuros, Mizutsune, Nargacuga and Royal Ludroth, that only leaves three monsters that are associated with that map left - Great Jaggi, Plesioth and Duramboros. All three have pretty good chances imo.

Alwin really is quite the nuisance tbh. His constant desire to charge up his shot instesd of attacking made me fail a hard quest three times because the monster just one-shot him without any opportunity for me to stop it, while when I tried it as soon as I got rid of him I did it without losing a single heart. And liking him isn’t facilitated by the fact that he treats you as if you are weaker than him when clearly he is the one constantly loosing one-to-ones either.

Alwin only uses speeds, which sucks. He's slightly better than Kayna and Avmar though, because he at least wins sometimes. Avmar seems to only ever use whichever move will lose the HtH.
