Honestly I feel that Nong-O can still go, even though he has past his prime. He just needed some time to get over the 2 devastating KO losses and get his confidence back. A fairly close fight with an undefeated fighter without suffering any significant damage might be a good start for him to rebuild one last run.

Seems like Nong-O got caught up thinking about the traditional Muay Thai scoring system, in traditional Muay Thai those switch kicks he landed would've been scored higher since it shows technical prowess and it was landing clean while Nabati was quite messy while landing shots on the guard (however it was long combinations and aggressive which is what won him the fight)

Nabati moved as if he were fighting kickboxing or MMA. Your game doesn't even look like Muay Thai. Mischaracterizing the evaluation criteria used in Muay Thai makes the fight unfair to the Thai style. Nong is a giant in this sport and should have won, unless the fight was kickboxinhg.

Neither fighter dominated this fight for me. I think a Draw was more appropriate. Nabati's punches were mostly only pop shots and didn't show much effect, except the one at the very end of Round 1. Nong-O's kicks we're often shut down with catches by Nabati, although Nong-O did manage to dump Nabati from the clinch a few times which would edge it slightly for me. I don't think this was a convincing win for Nabati.

If you don't know that Nong-O is a legend, you don't know much about Muay Thai. Saenchai and Buakaw aren't the only legends of the sport. He is 7 times champion (3 lumpinee, 1 radja, 2 thailand champion, 1 one championship),has 330 fights over more than decades and has fought against all the top level opposition between 2008 and 2024. His fight resume includes huge champions like Saenchai, Anuwat, Lerdsila, Petchbonchu, Singdam, Pornsanae, Sam-A, Pakorn, Yodwicha, and many more. Of course he lost some and won some, but just as an example of how incredibly good Nong O is, he has fought 11 (!!!!) times against all-time great Singdam (uncle of Superlek btw) with 6 wins, 4 loss and 1 draw. He fought 6 times against Petchboonchu, the most decorated Muay Thai fighter of all time. Fought 8 times against Saenchai. I could go on and on and on. Although Nong-O is past his prime, he is by far the fighter in One Championship with the most impressive career and claim to legend status. (Along with Sam-A).
