1st, Revis is one of the great DB of all time. Saying that, actually TO beat him again on that particular route. However the ball was under-thrown. Had Fitzpactrick placed the ball out in front of TO, it would have been a TD. Look at the play. TO was 2 or, maybe 3, step in front of Revis. Under-thrown ball cause Fitpactrick was flushed out the pocket.

What? If DeBartolo was still the owner, he would've NEVER let T.O. walk. Terrible ownership is the only reason he was let go. DeBartolo takes care of his players, something York should try to do. If you look at the relationship between DeBartolo and any of the dynasty players and compare it to York and ANY player he's had, none of them are on a first name basis w/ York. Even when he let Rice go to the Raiders, he made sure Rice went to a team that was competing for a Superbowl, he didn't send him to the Browns or the Bills, etc. And he only did so because of Young's retirement. If Young was coming back, I guarantee you, he would've kept Rice.

Revis is one of my favorite corners of all time who shutdown some of the best WRs of all time in their prime during an era where playing corner was harder than ever due to strict rules where you can’t sneeze on a WR without getting flagged.. but this video is a tad bit biased as T.O was not on his prime during the Bills..

Revis is by far the top 3 corners in the history of the league. Ask Moss or countless others. At his best he covered the best receivers with no help on top. Hence Revis island played 10 years. A first ballot Hall of Famer 🏆
@edgarcasiano12192 жыл бұрын
For you to say he covers the 1 WR with no help? The Jets play cover 2 as their base defense. I really believe he's one of the best but he aint no Dion Sanders for sure. I have seen him get burnt plenty on time, especially when the defensive coverage slide over to the other side. Go back to to the Pats game against Randy, or the Cleveland game against Pryor, or Dallas game against T.O, or Texans game against Hopkins. Actually in the Texans game they had to play cover two in the second half to stop Hopkins.

Ball was underthrown on that last pass with the Bills
@Rangerfan112 жыл бұрын
What most people on here are saying that TO has Revis beat on that throw. Revis would constantly give up a step or two on his receivers then once the ball was in the air he had unbelievable closing speed and always especially in 2009(one of best years a CB ever had) he would always catch up to the receiver at the last second and get his hand in the their to break up the pass. So I’m confident he would have knocked the ball down. You all don’t know Revis like I do. I watched every game of his.
@paidtourist65632 жыл бұрын
That actually wasn't that big of a mistake. He probably saw a tendency from TO that made him assume the ball was going to be an underground back shoulder fade, so he slowed up. Then he realized that it was a corner fade to the pylon. You made it sound like he completely new the coverage
@shaunbell83252 жыл бұрын
What game was u watching? If that ball was thrown back shoulder revis is still toasted. TO has 2 steps on Revis ball under thrown. Smh
@paidtourist65632 жыл бұрын
@@shaunbell8325 You must ingest a LOT of meth... T.O. ONLY had 2 steps on Revis AFTER Revis read the route wrong. Before that, Revis was in T.O.'s back pocket. If Revis didn't assume the wrong route, he would have knocked the ball away. It ALREADY was a backshoulder fade which is why T.O. caught a damn TD out it. It It wasn't underthrown, it would have had the same result since Revis read the route wrong. But if it wasn't underthrown AND Revis didn't read the route wrong, then you can flip a damn coin on what happens because it would have been damn close

Bad comparisons. The Buffalo quarterback threw a well under-thrown pass for an interception verses a perfect redzone pass from Romo. The difference is the throw, not so much the coverage. He was more opened on the play w buffalo but again, different quarterbacks, different results
