Paladins is honestly pretty fun. I haven't played in a while but they constantly get new characters and content, and the buy system during games helps deal with all the abilities of other characters rather than needing specific counters like in OW

I joined the stream right when you started playing Bomb King. I was really glad to see that you had loads of fun with the game. Its different and clunky, problems here and there but its hard to put down.

This, its not perfect, balanced or polished. But every character has so much personality in the way that they play. Combine that with card loadouts, buying items in game, and most games end up feeling pretty unique. You're never JUST going against a koga, for example, you're going against a koga that's chosen a talent, build and items specifically for this match. IMO its more fun than a character having no customisation, and as such being incentivised to play the same way every single game. Sorry for the essay, I have love for this weird little F2P gem

As an OW player i play paladins way too much, when overwatch gets stale, the trails of the realm the item shop and card system make every game so fresh, love the feelin of finding an OP build for every comp only to find a more op one the next day on accident, when u cant aim and dont feel like actually using gamesense u can go to paladins n still have a great time bc the mechanics r so simple to remember

People keep talking about the supports doing too much damage here but the reality is that you have the OW2 support passive in this game for every character. A flanker actually can just leave, go hide behind a wall then re-engage without needing their support. Supports also have an added factor of anti healing which you can think of like the in-combat healing that Blizzard intended to add to the game during the beta. It lowers the healing amounts when the healing target takes damage at a rate between 25% to 95% for every instance of damage ...the longer the game gets the worse your healing becomes. So healing, while great, doesn't pay off as well when you're being overly aggro in the wrong situation (especially late game). So the damage builds are there as an alternative since the is a fall off... but the trade off often is that your healing doesn't help teammates as much early game and falls off earlier because of anti healing. This is why the more you play the funner it gets. You don't need your supports and your supports don't need you, but if you DO work together it's very fun. Also you just don't feel useless as a support.

I think Seris is one of the best healers to play aggressively because of her escape ability's invulnerability. Plus with Soul Collector, you deal insane damage while increasing your max HP. You could even run Agony to stun enemies with four Soul Stacks for around 1.5 seconds. You don't even need a healing build to be a great healer because her heals chain to teammates.
