I spoke with an individual who is a long time player of the stock market, a speculative investor, let's say. The man has some Disney shares in his portfolio, regularly attends shareholder get-togethers. He's also what you might call "Not utterly braindead, can perform basic mathmatics and economic theory". He did a little number crunching. Just a little. Wouldn't want to cook the short attention span mind of the average Disney apologist. Factoring in the following; cost of Star Wars acquisiton, full cost to make the movies, shows, games and supplementary material including mechandise, advertizing/marketing and distribution/manufacturing. Star Wars has not made a dollar of profit for Disney. Certainly, the movies on their own have grossed billions. It doesn't offset the costs. Economics aside, Disney have no direction and no creativity. Their most egregious offense is that their Star Wars media is boring at best, and trite at worst. Despite what the hooting, shrieking vanguard will say, only a fractional minority of the opposing grifters take issue with race and gender in Star Wars. It was always for everyone. I sincerely doubt the Disney fans could tell me who Dace Diath, Jolee Bindo or Droo Rawk are.

@@havtheroc Agreed. “Alex” wasn’t going to allow facts to shake their delusion. Their assertions about profit, toy sales, and fan satisfaction are ridiculous. Their cope is truly hilarious if one can pity their spitefulness and projection. Thank you for your comment.

I assure you “Alex” is real! I changed “their” name to prevent harassment. If you have a few minutes to spare, you can verify “them” and “their” comments through my channel. Please be respectful despite “their” lack of reason and kindness.

@@galacticinitiative7979 Nah. I have no respect for people that dont respect me. We were too kind and thats why they are in control in so many places.

@@ASHFAR578 I agree. My video reflects my stance. I’ve had enough of their name-calling, labeling, gaslighting, etc. Silence wasn’t an option for me. However, we shouldn’t stoop to Alex’s level. Facts, not personal attacks, will prevail. We won’t be quiet, but we won’t be crude. Go get ‘em if you wish.

im a pretty avid star wars lore nerd and i despised the acolyte and dont like how theyve treated alot of legacy characters, but i feel like skeleton crew has been getting a bit of a bad rap just because people have a horrible taste in their mouth from being force fed garbage over the years. i dont think its peak cinema or anything, but it does a similar thing to what andor did of giving you a view of the star wars universe from a very limited perspective to show you the how different people in universe perceive things. i think andor and skeleton crew are some of disneys best star wars media because it does what some of the older comics would where you could have all sorts of different stories in the same universe, the grittier noir feel of andor, or the scared adventured of some lost kids. let me clarify though i also think legends did most everything far better

Thank you for your comment. Skeleton Crew has been a mixed bag for me so far. When I mentioned it in this video, I focused only on its small audience in comparison with other Star Wars productions. Regardless of my qualitative opinion, it needs quantitative improvement, i.e., more eyeballs, to succeed. Perhaps, over time, it’ll gather steam. Yes, your point is well taken. SC is probably a victim of previous, unassociated failures from Kennedyfilm. Guilt by association.

Alex is right about the prequels. But that doesn’t make the sequels good either.
@bobsuruncle2112Күн бұрын
The sequels are still objectively far far worse than the prequels. They are truly incomparable honestly.
@HelloThere.....Күн бұрын
No he's not. The prequels are good movies. I don’t get why people say they're bad. There's certainly bad parts to them of course, jar jar made the movie too comical at times, some parts were dull, but you can't deny the masterpiece that is episode III. Geonosis? Count dooku? Greivous? Qui gon? Maul? Obi wan? Mace windu? All amazing characters. The movies are great and people don’t like them because they don’t like anakin and jar jar. Hayden played the role perfectly. He acted it perfectly. George Lucas made sure of that.
@HelloThere.....Күн бұрын
I'd also like to say I wouldn't necessarily call them prequels. George just decided to do the order of the entire story starting middle to end and beginning to middle. But the story was always one story. They changed it to starting on episode 4 pretty last minute.

I enjoy the prequels too! Despite their flaws, they are Shakespearean compared with the sequels. No contest! Against a shill like “Alex,” who bashes them with a nonsensical, two-wrongs-make-a-right comment, I’ll defend the prequels to my last breath. Thank you for watching.
@galacticinitiative797923 сағат бұрын
The prequels and originals don’t share perfect alignment, but, long ago, I made peace with their inconsistencies. Objectively, I acknowledge the writing that caused issues and Lucas’ reasoning for it. However, from a narrative standpoint, I’ll debate the quality of both trilogies versus almost any IP in the history of entertainment.
