I don't think this guy gets that saying "I wasn't trying to fight her" doesn't absolve him from the positional and tactical misplay that caused him to fight her and die in the first place which is what Neace is actually getting at. He's overcomplicating it and worse, drawing on outdated information about legend matchups that are irrelevant. All of this explains why he's gold, he is barely perceiving the macro of the game and focuses on micro misplays which he wouldn't be in the position to make in the first place if he just had a grasp on how he should strategically and tactically play in a match up like this. I come from FPS and this is a similar mindset to blaming your aim for everything after putting yourself in a position where you need to land a series of hard shots rather than setting yourself up for easy ones like good players do.

This is kind of embarrassing for him. It only upsets me because these people are the laners that I get on my team and who never see any issues with their gameplay due to the reactionary insta-excuses they create before the game even finishes loading in. Usually one bad laner isnt uncarryable but when they create a fed/rich irelia, fiora, etc that the entire team has to suffer. I think we all have bad games, but I think his mentality is a major problem for his team more than himself. At least understand the reason why you are failing at the moment instead of this "My champ is hard countered by their champ" cop-out.

im not tryna be toxic here, but I really feel like this Neace guy acts SO good all the time, and when he gives bad advice its just unlucky. When other players make a misplay, its because they are bad and dont listen to him.... 09:40 he tells him to play topside of the lane, because he cant be ganked there... there is great vision in botside river and his botlane is taking their T2 at the moment. there is literally NO way for elise to get into botside bush without him seeing her (unless she flashes the wall into the bush) and yet he tells this guy "you wanna be topside of the lane, so you cant get ganked." He then does exactly what he says, goes topside bush, and elise is waiting in it, SINCE WE HAVE NO VISION TOPSIDE. If you want to say things like " nobody listens or understands what i am saying" Then please for the love of god, make sure you actually are right all the time. Its incredibly cringe and hypocritical to see you blame all the players for not listening to you and making mistakes, but then when you straight up give the wrong advice, its "unlucky". Then, after he gets engaged and needs to ult out, he tells him "you have flash, use it." to which the guy rightfully says "elise E-Q is up." to which neace says "yea but flash E..." . His E isnt even up until about 1 second after he is dead. This one is probably debatable and a close call, but its hilarious with how much certainty he says these things, after making blatant miscalls, still thinking he does nothing wrong. This guy needs a reality check. Everyone makes mistakes, including you. Just stand up to them.

I feel like irelia is one of the worst champs to go for short trades on because she just full heals every wave with q. Am I correct in that or am I missing something? I just know most of the time with irelia if you don't have ignite/heal reduction and are ready to fight it out (hopefully killing her quickly) it just ends poorly.
@cryingwolf4955

Irelia is a champ you almost NEVER want long trades with becasue she just out sustains you, especially early.
@AdamLighter1
@AdamLighter1 3 жыл бұрын
this video doesnt have anything about trades or irelia. basically any coaching of neace isnt about any of these stuff, because its not important. fundamentals are wave management, camera control, pinging. other stuff comes with playing the game.
@j.asmrgaming1228
@j.asmrgaming1228 3 жыл бұрын
@@AdamLighter1 Not as important, and the other stuff should be done before you look at trading and interacting with the other champion too much. But neace does talk quite a bit in his coachings about trading and I wanted to better understand given the correct context what kind of trading patterns are good vs irelia as she is not someone I go up against very much.

@@ROB-cj4kq I know you are probably trying to be helpful, but you are so caught up in making sure I know what the point is you aren't even reading what I said. I'm aware we don't care about this in this video, i'm aware of the point of picking ekko. I merely asked a question about the validity of short trades against irelia in general. Not trying to be mean because it does look like you took some degree of time to type out your response but literally none of it has to do with either my original question or my follow up comment except for saying "Irelia (sustaining)"
@naiustheyetti
@naiustheyetti 3 жыл бұрын
@@j.asmrgaming1228 well your question is vague because it all depends on who your champion is. should you have an extended trade with irelia depends on point of the game, items and which champ you are on.

It’s more that he wants to shove and not let her freeze so he can recall. Worst case even if he dies shoving the wave it’s still better than being forced to stay in lane and probably die while the wave is pushing back to you anyway. It’s not about the farm it’s fixing the wave

9:05 would've been the perfect time for him to ult btw separates elise and irelia, gets him back up to like 75%, chunks irelia for big damage and a nearly impossible to miss q, AND she's still got tower aggro I'd argue an r there could've been the difference between another early death and 2 early kills

To give a mature answer with no bias, I must say that I can't put all the blame on the client in this scenario. I have no insight into what the previous day was like and what promises you left eachother with, but I can totally understand why he ended being so defensive, which you and most people are interpretting as him arguing with you. I would be very unhappy if I payed money for someone to coach me and he used the tone you did at 2:30. It was this kind of attitude you had for most of the first game, where you kind of questioning his errors in an accusing tone. I must repeat here, that I don't know what transpired on the first day of coaching, but I must assume that you coached him the second day against payment, and then it is your job as the coach to give him a good, learning experience. Overall I feel you, as the coach, should have been more understanding of what made the client act as he did, and been the bigger man in this scenario.

Coaches aren’t there to be your friend. They are there to push you into being better. Tone is not something a coach should worry about. You can’t tip toe around a pupil when you’re a coach. You wont accomplish anything. People need to be pushed and not babied to become better.

So...he played the Ekko v. Irelia matchup in "high elo" in season 3 or 4. Ekko wasn't released until season 5, and Irelia was reworked in season 8 or 9, so the earliest he could have "mastered" this matchup would be sometime in 2018.
