When I was doing the first Mystery Heroes comp placements, it kept putting me in higher and higher lobbies. I'm a Console Plat...my first few games were in Plat...then by the 4th game I was in Diamond, then the 5th game it placed me on a team with Masters 3-1's. I was screaming because I went from typical Plat games to basically sweating my ass off against near GM level players.

5:30 you were placed in 3596, 4 points away from GM 4, after the 5-0 you climbed to 3729. Around 130 sr, so you won like 25 points per win. The system is almost the same, just more confusing, the only thing that is awful is the matchmaking or the rank inflation trying to adjust new accounts or inactive ones.

I've gone 5-1 then 5-2 back to back previously and not ranked up, I don't think they are using an SR system anymore tbh

@@TheRealKenzo I agree. I have a bit over 70% WR with ~35 games this season and I ended the season in the same rank I started in. Funnily enough, Season before I goofed around with friends and lost a lot in Gold, then actually tried and did a climb from G5 to P2 with 80% WR during the whole climb. Whatever the system is, I don't think it's SR, I don't think SR would be this inconsistent and make you randomly unable to rank up when consistently winning games.

Yeah the hero identities are getting lost, they should really give hanzo some falloff to make his sniper gameplay more consistently bad and encourage playing him at midrange since he's projectile anyway, and get rid of widow's falloff but possibly rework her kit to put the one-shot on a cooldown or something. People say widow is impossible to truly balance but there's so much they could do to rework her imo

to be fair, even if your rank in comp is master 3 the hidden MMR is probably GM so the matches were probably GM anyways, they base the groups around hidden mmr not comp mmr which is why you see people lower or higher ranks in your game because you have the same hidden mmr

Ik its an old vid but the way mmr is set up always pissed me off. Even in qp i cant play with my friends that are higher than plat bc we get put up against daimond and masters sweats. Im silver rn and trying to get into widow on console and was in a group with a friend who was diamond. Even though the enemy team had a masters it wasnt so bad at first until we were at the last point and a sombra started spawn camping the living shit out of me. I wanted to stay widow out of principle bc you cant learn how to better play against your counters if you just switch any time they counter and target you.

@@MontageHustle then adjust your sens and slowly make it higher until you’re comfy and then keep practicing, aim at high level is mostly subconscious and if you take time to get your set up right and sensitivity you’ll naturally start doing fast flicks have fun and be patient :)
