There are no words sometimes with Forestella. They live and breathe music…are famous as practice-aholics and refuse to be confined to just one genre, so can be confounding to commentators. They are adventurous and experimental and are for award purposes classified as crossover and at times also as K-pop on tv compilation shows featuring their work. KOOL m/v is an example…A promise to fans should their m/v SAVE OUR LIVES reach 990 000 views( over 2million now) then they would make a K-pop cover m/v as a thank you😅 …they ended making their own instead. Shape of You and Despacito also fell into K-pop classification but clearly it’s not K-pop as we know it!Youll see when you watch it…😊😅See my other comment below re reaction suggestions…overwhelming I know, but just the tip of the iceberg. Justin, they are all top notch performances.

Sir, you have my admiration and my respect. They may not be as famous globally as they should be, but I declare, I have never experienced such 'musical beauty' ever in my life. You know what you're talking about and that is exactly what I want to say. My feelings mirror yours. Perfection! And the bass! I've never heard such a rich, smooth bass voice in my life! It sounds like his voice is coming from deep within his chest. Maybe he's got a cave or something in there. The soprano, angelic! I'm jealous. The tenor voice is so clear and his diction perfect. Then we have the other tenor who I like to call a baritone. The emotion in his voice, aaahhhh. The dynamics, vibratos, the harmonies. Exquisite! The first time I heard Forestella, my jaw hit the floor and stayed there throughout the entire song. I love their rendition of Legends Never Die, their rendition of Despacito, and their rendition of Shape of You.

Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Forestella again! This is from old English folk song. Simon&Garfunkel version is the most famous as far I know. There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, and rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him anymore. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in the same areas in fact while on my researching English references.. so it could be just for remembering the recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too. Please react to Shape of you in English, Spanish and isiZulu. Actually this Scarborough Fair was rejected to be a competition song for Phantom Singer All Stars (another music variety on JTBC, which invited all 3 seasons' finalists groups and had specific themes in each round. But be extra-careful when you use JTBC video, because blocks a lot..) so Forestella brought Shape of you. It was sensational hit! Please see why.

Scarborough Fair is an Old English Folk Song. We were taught it at school 60 years ago. And had to sing it in Rounds. I have hated that song with a passion (even Simon & Garfunkel's version), until Forestella. They have made me appreciate what a beautiful song it is. It only took 60 years. 🤣

I’ve been waiting for so long for you to discover Forestella!! They are truly phenomenal vocalists but Ko Woorim (the bass) has possibly my fav voice ever, it’s so beautifully warm & rich. Honestly none of their stages disappoint, but good intro stages to hear more of their beautiful vocals, I recommend: Hijo de la Luna, Time in a Bottle, Champions, Warriors, 마법의 성(Magic Castle), or 달팽이 (Snail) but truly all are absolutely amazing! As a Seoul born Korean that moved to the US at an early age, I want to impress upon people how amazing it is that Forestella sings not only in English, but French and Italian so beautifully. I may not be a vocal coach or a music expert, but singing in a foreign language to the point that people forget or don't realize is an art in itself.

Just wait until you watch "Hijo de la Luna". Their original song and MV "Utopia" is a masterpiece. You just might be thrilled with their blend with "The Sky And The Dawn And The Sun" I think their covers of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and ""Thriller" and the like are great, but the classic pieces give me life. Thank goodness we don't need to see them to enjoy watching your reaction. (I lament that strikes are prevalent when reality is reactors like you is how they gain fans) Regardless, thank you for a heartfelt reaction.

Thank you for the reaction!! Forestella truly is one of the best. Two of the singers are trained in opera, one in musical theater, and the countertenor actually has no formal training believe it or not! I would highly recommend checking out their performance of hijo de la luna, it'll blow your mind away! Also, please let me know if you would like some information on the members and how Forestella formed! Aside from Forestella, I would absolutely love to see your reaction to sEODo band!! They're not very well known, but they are absolutely incredible. They've received multiple awards for their innovation. They mix traditional Korean music with contemporary pop/R&B in their own genre called Joseon Pop. I would recommend watching/listening to 매일 매일 기다료 (maeil maeil gidaryo) and 뱃노래 (baetnorae, boat song). If you decide to listen, I hope you enjoy!

As you are a vocalist yourself, try Hijo De La Luna., L’Immensita, Time in a Bottle, Legends Never Die, Lazenca, Save Us, Champions, Sound of Silence, their own M/v SAVE OUR LIVES and 2nd in the series UTOPIA ..(part of a trilogy) … And Their 2 latest SNOW GLOBE and CHAGALL’S DREAM m/vs released Nov ‘23. No need to screen their own m/vs which have their company’s logo Beat Interactive at the beginning. …usually the broadcaster ones need the screen or shape or colour change ..total obscuring isn’t necessary. Most reactors successfully use a lightly patterned screen or even reverse the image or make it a little transparent.
