Ugh talk about cringe smh that knot feeling in my stomach I had being questioned by my elders what my plans or for the future were came back watching this. since my 12 year old ass is disruptive in school which pretty much meant I was going nowhere fast Lmaoo I had this experience. African parents have away to just make you upset if their up set. It’s hard to just take it I don’t know what it is. They know how to really push your buttons I feel like this only happens to “kids who are misbehaving in school“ if you’re getting straight A’s and you’re on the honor roll then the opposite will happen parents will be singing your praise, telling you you’re going to be a great doctor who’s going to take care of your family. I’ve experienced both sides. I was a class clown but that changed once I was sent to Nigeria for some schooling (JSS3) to be exact. I ended up in the medical field but I wanted to play basketball professionally. Imagine being short trying to tell your Nigerian parents you want to play basketball professionally. if you don’t end up with your eyes watering after that conversation you’re lying
