Siege is pretty useful in real life , but in this shitty game , developers don't respect siege

There's also differences between when we bring buffer or just straight 1 troop type only. If the enemy was on wedge, and we send 1 troop type straight (no buffer), we would instantly countered by their backline, even we actually countered their lineup.

I saw a dn5 with t3 t4 cav and range defended in an inf wedge against our ranged phlx all range, t2-t5. We lost by a lot. I noticed in the vid our range were assigned to attacking their range before their cav blasted through the middle attacking our range. Our range never fired on their cav, so their cav killed us. This has to do with squad assignment. I really need to understand how they do it.

Range starts to retarget the biggest squads after killing the first two sqauds, not necessarily Cav, if the target has more inf they will be targeted

For a rally you should change gears and phalanx to full infantry that is better but if you have decent mixed gears then you have to change one or two equipments only

maby i did not understand the vid. If you do single type attack does it matter? What I mean is if I did a pure inf attack would it matter since they would all hit the troops when the wall dropped.

The sequence of hitting it matters, not the result of hitting it all or not.

he did mention it more than twice in his livestreams, but the answer is yes, and you can test it themselves. wear familiar gear, see the duration, wear speed gear (not hunting), and see the difference.

When I popped the jewels I mentioned above these were all purple....the walk time was still 14sec. So that's why I asked because some people say the jewel indeed affects the travel time but I tested for myself and the time didnt change.

I got one question. Yesterday I was doing lvl 5 dn. It was anti, so I send range and infantry first time. Add heroes for range and infantry and also rose how you know she gives 20% army attack. I think that when you show darknest as an example for attacking inf wedge with range it really didn't matter that you are in inf wedge cause the darknest was inf wedge also, and had those 2 inf squeads upfront that were focused first regardless if you are inf wedge or cav wedge

Wait, I'm confused. It looks to me that the reason why you are going through only half the counter is that the _defenders_ are in a wedge, not because of your own wedge. What am I missing? I mean, it looks to me that your formation determines which of your troops get targeted first, but you have no control whatsoever on which enemy squads you are hitting...

you cannot control, but whatever phalanx they stays, you can still only need to hit 2 squads.

@ If the enemy is in phalanx that means they have 4 squads in the front. Whatever your formation is, each of those four is going to be the closest to one of your own, so you will have at least one squad attacking each of the four enemy front line squads.
