You could also say he was partially inspired by the episode of the Batman where Joker dressed up like Batman and poisoned Batman with Joker venom. One of the lines from the episode was (from JokerBat to Batman: You're gonna be a great Joker.)

Okay, now hear me out - Batman Arkham Nightmare: Joker won and Batman became Batman Who Laughs, we play as BatFamily, who is trying to stop him, it's Nightwing, Robin, Red Hood, Deathstroke and maybr some help from Mr.Frize . In other hand, Batman have allie too - it's Harly. The plot is based not only on the fact that Batman is playing with the main characters and their attempt to stop him, but also on the dilemma - should they try to save Bruce, or is he no longer here? Robin and Dick will want to save Bruce, Slade will immediately say that this is a bad idea (he will be disliked in the team and they will have a bad relationship with Jason, but eventually they will learn how to work together. ), Jason will want to save Bruce, but will quickly lose faith that this is possible. In the course of the plot, Batman captures Tim and uses gas to make him his partner, which is why Slade will have to kill him, saving Dick's life. So, Slade will be kicked out of the company and will start acting alone, but towards the end of the plot he will rejoin the team. There may be 3 endings of the game: 1. Batman kills everyone. 2. Bruce tries to regain control and save his comrades - he asks Jason to shoot him while they have the opportunity, which Jason does. 3. Bruce gives the last fight and regains control.

The visor he wears helps him see through the dark multiverse, which helps him see and predict what his enemies are about to do. It also shows him their urges and desires. Naturally, he can take it off, but he wears it almost all the time. But wearing it has made his eyes go completely black and red. Like a literal demon.

The Batman Who Laughs isn't possessed by the Joker's spirit though... After he's infected with the toxin, he's losing his sanity and becomes a chaotic, dark and evil personality. LIKE the Joker... But not the Joker himself. So imo he shouldn't sound like him. The way they present him here, is like the Joker died and possessed his body... 😂
