Bill Belecheck, WELCOME TO YOUR DUMB DECISIONS DEBUT

I think going for it on 4th and 3 in Super Bowl XLII is the worst.

As a Steelers fan, this takes me back. After a decade of horrible QB play by Malone and Brister, when the very average Neil O'Donnell came along, he seemed like the second coming of Joe Montana by comparison. And then he threw interceptions in the superbowl, forever cementing his mediocrity.

They were only in that SB because the, NFL, took pity on them, they immediately proved they didn't deserve to be there, in something that almost everybody predicted, that's that.
@suicidality274412 күн бұрын
And those INT's were some of the worst ever. He wasn't even throwing to his receivers. They weren't even in the area of those passes. It was like he intentionally threw the game to the Cowboys which is likely what happend. O'Donnell was on the take. I'm talking to you Jerry Jones!
I watched this game and all of us Steelers fans said where the heck is Hoard? I doubt his presence would've made a difference but still.
@matthewdaley74613 күн бұрын
Oddly enough, the Steelers got tragically arrogant, and, made a SB video, this completely blew up in their faces, luckily, the NFL totally took pity on them the following season, they proceeded to show why rewarding a team with a SB trip because they, "deserved," it, is a terrible idea.

Both times the Steelers beat us in the playoffs they lost in the next game they got embarrassed by San Diego and then lost in a stupid way against the Titans
Hoard had 48 yards rushing on 16 carries in his 3 games against Pittsburgh in 1994. Hoard had nothing to do with this loss in the playoffs. The reason Cleveland lost this game is because Derrick Alexander dropped passes left and right and they were awful defensively all day. Hoard did nothing in this game when he did play as you stated and when you are down 24-3 at half youre not doing a lot of running in the 2nd half.

This unofficial Official Jaguar Gator 9 historian will remind everyone you made a video about another Michigan fullback, Jarrod Bunch, and his lack of communication with the Giants before that same 1994 season.

The Browns disrespected the sacred Terrible Towel prior to the game that led to them losing.
@matthewdaley74613 күн бұрын
The identical Terrible Towel that later fell to Stan Humphries, methinks this respect was slightly misplaced.

As a Browns fan, that's a sweet relief. At least we can say it wasn't because the Steelers were the better team.
Benching your top halfback with no real explanation doesn't seem like the ideal strategy for winning a playoff game.

I watched the game at home that Saturday on January 7, 1995 where they lost at Three Rivers to the Squealers and their Terrible Towels 29-9. Too many turnovers and dropped passes by the Browns. What a shame to go 0-3 against your arch rivals is despicable and pathetic!

@matthewdaley74613 күн бұрын
There were actually a great many reasons why the Patriots lost SB 52, the, considerably, bigger reasons were the team treating the entire Game like a coronation, the fact that the defense didn't show up, at all, and, finally, Tom Brady forcing the ball on the, strip-sack, really no doubt.
