Surfs Up also teaches that just because you're related to these people, that doesn't make them true family. I know this myself because some of the worst people in my life are family members. internet trolls are assholes to get a rise out of you but some people in my family have stolen money from me and even blamed me for something they did. My advice is to go back and watch all your favorites from your childhood. Kung fu Panda and Avatar: The Last Airbender were my favorites. Treasure Planet is my number one favourite movie and Surf's Up is my second. That may say quite a bit about me. "I just don't want to see you throw away your entire future." True, despite the odds being against you, there is always something worth living. But it isn't just about what you love; it can also be what you're good at, what the world needs, what you can be paid for, or what you believe in that defines you, your loved ones, or rather the desire to care for others, set an example, and create lasting memories, even if you had a bad childhood. It can also be your short-term and long-term goals in life, such as loving others, even if others didn't love you because you've probably experienced it; being a successful person because you want to prove to yourself or to others that you're capable; helping others because no one helped you; and even finding purpose in life because you're still undecided or considering what you can do with your life, whether it be careers, family, service, etc. However, it's not easy for me to say and do as well because I also had a negative perspective on life and a bad childhood. Yet, there's no glory in being easy, 'cause that's life.

I can understand the perspective of Cody's mum and brother though. Cause to Glen, he's out there doing his responsibilies, helping his town and his mum out, doing what needs to be done. Meanwhile Cody is getting away with doing the bare minimum and doing almost nothing but wasting time every day fking around in the water avoiding all his responsibilities as an adult. And his mum tries her best to support Cody and let him do what he wants to do, he's just gotta pull his weight as well. And then despite how much she tries to be a good mum, Cody still turns around and says that his dream is to leave. He doesn't mention any greater purpose he just wants go leave cause "this place sucks bro." Add in how clearly immature and arrogant he is, ignoring that his father's death affected him and how he has this self-centered life he wants to live. You can't really blame either of them for being a bit fed up with him.
@small.but.atomic324 күн бұрын
Yeah, you might be partially right, the brother was really cruel anyway, and Coby was working while trying to follow his dreams right? and I guess his big "purpose" was just to go surfing in a different environment, which he waited for while training and when the moment came he took it

I love art, it’s my passion, but it’s hard to find motivation to actually do it. I say I’m fine, but deep down I can’t stop thinking of the possibilities that could happen. He received an autism diagnosis when he was two years old, and as a kid, I was his “therapy sister,” teaching him things like eye contact, sharing toys, and saying phrases like “I love you.” I thought I was the one doing all the teaching, but then ten years later, I was given my own autism diagnosis. I was so awkward and confused, but my brother had this bulletproof confidence that we were both going to turn out great. Fast forward to present day, and it turns out he was right. One of my favorite movie messages comes from Cars. Even as a kid I was struck by Lightning’s decision to come in last place to make sure the King had a proper finish and the reactions of everyone by his and Chick’s decisions. Later on I learned a racing rule that if Lightning won and Chick came in second the race would have finished then and there and the King would have officially not finished his last race because he was out of commission. It really taught me that things like fame and fortune pale in comparison to integrity and decency.

“I am on of those men who don’t fit in.” Hit me right in the chest. The chest I did 100 push ups every day-every month, just to get some sort of rhythm in. A rhythm that could allow me to keep up with everyone else. But at last, I still find myself to not even be near them: almost like being held back. Is it my different approach to things? Is it how I view the inevitable future? Is it how I want to live my life? Is it my expectations? Is it my dreams? Is it me..? Can “me” fit in with “them”? Even if it does not have to be, I will find my way through it. Because that is the only way around it. I can’t beat em’, so neither will I join em’. I’ll exceed em’.

Carl shuts himself away from the world after Elle dies, never flipping to the last page of their book thinking he missed out on all the things they were gonna do together. And Elle knew that, but she told him in their book to keep going. That they had such a great life together but he needs to go out and live even without her. That even when someone you love dies, it doesn’t mean things stop. It’s a new opportunity to live.

I think it’s fair to say most of us feel this way. It’s normal. Weren’t simply not meant to be the same. And that’s what’s beautiful. Us trying to be the same and confusing that as a way to connect hurts us. We are truly meant to be unique. So we have to have compassion and understanding for those we don’t understand. Until we learn this, there will always be a misconception that those who are “different” are inadequate. We must look at ourselves and love ourselves and then we can learn to love and accept others. You don’t have to understand someone to accept them. Same goes for yourself too❤️

I'm gonna push back on the whole "be fearless" narrative. That's not the goal, fear is normal, to feel fear is to be human. To be fearless, to feel like you have nothing at all to fear, well that's just stupid. Be brave, be courageous. Those that are brave, that have courage, have fear, they just don't let it control them, which is different than being fearless. So have fear, that's good, that's normal. So look at it, acknowledge it, and let it pass. Understand your fear and where it comes from. That's how you overcome fear, not by ignoring it, but by acknowledging it.

If you're lost in the woods, staying put increases you're chances of being found exponentially. If you're lost in the metaphorical forest of life however, then walk. If not, you WILL live in regret. Never trying, never knowing if salvation is just over the nearest hill, or behind that bush. If you never even tried, then of course you lost. So try. It dosen't matter if you already spent 20 years in the forest already. You could spend the next 40 somewhere better. Even if you failed, you learned from trying. So just try

I'm sorry for your start of the year, Sometimes these low points can actually lead to the most growth. Take it one day at a time, and remember, even arcs of depression eventually lead to brighter chapters. Focus on your goals, make a plan and give it absolute priority! I hope you have a good year.

Anyone who reads this,this is a message for me and all of you. know that in all of the seven skies you are one of the two entities that can creat and destroy.first is god second is you and you are his successor in this world so do the best you can since there is always someone who needs you and know that the only thing that destroys you is yourself. so lads fire up your ember and go on this journey which has been decided for you,do not falter and keep on. may my words reach you

The way is to realize that they don’t care just as much as you don’t. You just have to care less than them. But care more about yourself then them because if you don’t then no one will

Don't worry if you don't fit in with people, sometimes what they want you to fit in with will not be something you want to do. It's ok to be yourself, it shows the real you. Some people will mask their identity in order to fit in, but without it who are they? Being honest to people will gain more trust, you won't have nothing to hide or be nervous about. That's where confidence comes from, always expect the worse to prepare yourself for what's to come, so when it happens it will not have a full effect on you. Mistakes happen to people, don't worry that others do things perfect on the first try. If your friends don't like you because you don't do things they want you to do, are not real friends to begin with. Real friends will know your limits and know how to help you.
