As someone who has had a whole bunch of polygraphs - the test is dead the second you move around…and Grande moved her arms and head all over the place the whole time. Not that we needed a poly to determine she jacked her face up with surgery.
@babymama406Ай бұрын
Just curious but did you find that the polygraph was accurate? Did it catch when you lied and were you ever able to trick it? Did it ever say you were lying when you told the truth? I’ve always wondered if they worked or if it was only a stress reaction. I always thought that if I was stressed about a question it would show a lie even if I wasn’t lying.
@alexw.8999Ай бұрын
@ good questions. I’ve never lied in or failed a poly, but had friction with a tester once which almost caused me to fail. I didn’t like his tone, didn’t understand his question, my heart rate raised, the machine (and tester) suspected deception. I calmed down and passed. Some people can’t calm down, they overthink benign questions and fail. Polys take 4-7hrs, livelihoods are riding on passing, people are nervous and get pissed if a tester implies they’re lying or questions their integrity, and the whole test goes south. These guys were telling the truth, failed, but eventually retake it. Polys aren’t infallible (spies like Hansen and Ames passed) but I think they work, definitely as a deterrent.

Social media is to blame and all the stupid filters on these apps. They indoctrinate people into a two dimensional look obsession that in real life in 3 dimensional space looks odd. You can really notice how celebrities looked back in the old days. Makeup could only do so much, but it also came down to taking good care of oneself. Embracing good habits like dieting, exercising, etc. Yet there was an acknowledgement that eventually, age would catch up to them. Still, there seemed to be an element of natural beauty that was promoted and held fast to for decades. Look at actors/actresses from 25 years ago. Heck, look at them a few years further back. I guarantee you that if you compare men and women both from those times against the ones we have now, you'd prefer the older, classical beauty types.

The Kardashians are so sad. I've seen photos of them when they were young women, and they were very beautiful. They are now, to be honest and with no intent to be mean, so weird and ugly. It's horrifying.

what everyone who performs these procedures really misses out on - except being healthy - is having kids that look like you. That weird bump on your nose, weird ear shape. I mean, that's just so precious once you see that in your kids

That’s why I always advise people to read the book by a renowned plastic surgeon from the 60s - a book about self concept and our looks and society - it’s called Psycho-Cybernetics. Honestly wish this books were in school and accessible to all human beings. ❤

In the beginning of your video, you said plastic surgery never really used to happen like it does today, when actually Marilyn Monroe had a plastic surgery along with many stars from her time. The difference is that Social Media made it public knowledge. Great video!

Zac Efron's change, while not being the worst as he still looks handsome, is the one that makes me the saddest because i am almost certain he did it because every movie role he did was always the "eye candy/hot guy" role, plus his crazy fangirls and so he purposely disfigured himself to be taken more seriously as an actor.

There's many horrible things we as humans can do to ourselves... In my opinion we should just try to either eat healthier, workout more, or eat in moderation. Even better do all those things. All in all, DON'T LET YOURSELF GO. And especially don't rely on things like plastic surgery or BBL's to optimize your appearance, or rather, to this extent. On a side note, I have no overall issue with makeup as long as it simply compliments what you already look like. But you will know exactly when you're letting yourself go. Whenever you snack too crazy, indulge in negative habits too often, etc. YOU KNOW
@keithbessantАй бұрын
When people become unhappy with their natural appearance and they try to change it, it's unlikely to end well. Much of Simon Cowell's career consisted of humiliating ordinary people in public for the entertainment of the masses. If someone can't sing but they want to, maybe offer them some advice. But no, there was no acceptance, it was all about showing them up.

I hate plastic surgery for people who don't need it. I hate what it's doing to people's self worth. Actors and actresses are who they are because they are charismatic and adored by lots of fans. You are asked to sit comfortably, without moving, and to take a deep breathe. Then, the procedure begins and for some reason if you move your hand even to scratch your forehead a couple of times, they'll redo the question when you're back and stable. I'm sure the manager or polygraph inspector knows it very well. But due to the camera and being paid, she knows most audience wouldn't even know that's the rule and procedure! Everyone's in on it in that Ariana's one, moving not only her hands but her whole body 🤷.
