I give some grace on the sugar since it looks like it was in an unmarked container, which should NEVER happen in a kitchen. If it’s in a container, it needs a label. BUT! That DOESN’T excuse the fact that she could have *tasted* it first to realize her mistake.

That's what they say on master chef and even on HK taste as you go. You should do regardless of if you are in a restaurant or at home. No one what's a sweet dish when it was supposed to be savory.

Apple and Cheddar Cheese pies are damn good when made right. The problem was she didn't cook her apples nearly long enough. The pecans and bacon were weird. My grandma used to make apple and cheddar pies all the time and they were amazing. She'd slow cook the apples overnight so they were melt in your mouth soft. I have her recipe and I love making it myself.
