Yes it is very scary,,, not just for the young like you but also for perfectly normal and without any wrong intent adults like myself just responding in a harmless way just like I am doing here to you,,, creeps like on here ruin things on both sides and make it so neither can just enjoy normal and harmless fun of the internet and it's features,,, be always carefull youngster,, if someone seems to be getting too interested in you or says something that makes you feel uncomfortable tell your parents or the police,, if they make offers of money or gifts do the same imediately,,, it's a sad world where the children have to have these worries so stay safe please and take care.

As someone who started on the internet even younger than you: just reel back from it. Don’t interact with other people on it. There are a ton of bad people on the internet that want to and will hurt you. People don’t want to admit it, but it takes a lot of maturity to discern people’s intentions and what the right things to share or withhold are. Just use the internet to watch videos and play games.
