Be VERY careful in the cold with your range! My 2015 Model S P85DL completely shut off on me when it said I had 5 miles left and I had to have it towed to the Supercharger 3 miles away! In the summer it's not an issue, but the winter is a whole nother ball game! I won't let it get below 20 miles of range now that it's cold out. P.S. Peanut M&M's.

When ever I get tempted to buy an old Model S I watch a video like this and remind myself why I shouldn’t. 20 to 30 minutes for a charge stop on a long trip is acceptable, above that, no thanks.

You can always try to find one which has had a battery replaced with a 90kWh model and then charging improves immensely. The issue is the nerfed charging on the 85kWh batteries.

True but even a 2017 100D model S only peak at 150kWh for a few minutes. The LFP model 3 will still run rings around it and it cost half as much.@@ALRinaldi

The older cars with PTC (resistive heat coils) use a LOT of current while making warm air for the cabin.

Yup, this car will easily get in the 280's Wh/mi without the heater, and in the low-mid 300's running AC cooling. @@djand77

800v is only getting 175kW? Gimme more 350’s! 😀 I have an Ioniq 5, and I’d use those over a Supercharger because my onboard voltage booster only allows me to get 100kW max on a 400v charger.

The only legitimate excuse for a man to buy an EV is if his trophy model wife won't stop nagging for one.. but she get's one because she's also done a great job with the kids.
