This pisst me off soo much knowing all the facts now. When I saw this clip couple of years ago, I thought this whole time it was just some normal traffic stop this cop did. I DIDN'T realize this was a sting operation. And the fact the agents sent this cop instead just boils my blood. This could've been easily avoided if all the agents just went after this suspect to begin with!! UGH!! .... so frustrating.

Yeh homeland security didn't want to out their informant but where right there watching as they sent a poor lightly armed cop to do their work. Watched as he was executed then after he drove off they come in. What did they think was going to happen a drug trafficker would just say to the cop "I'm a drug trafficker take me to jail"! Id say 100% they sent an officer to his death. Any jury would agree some coward judge deemed them not liable that's garbage.
@rileytruax766
@rileytruax766 4 күн бұрын
@@timsherry-s6q what do you mean "what did they think would happen" you say this as if they knew that one: he was armed with not one but two guns. this is made clear when the cop sees a gun in the WAIST of the guys pants so we know he had to of saw a pistol or smaller gun. however the guy shoots him with a rifle this suggests that he left his handgun on the seat like the officer asked and as he got out grabber the riffle that was most likely tucked beside the seat and the door. and second you also say that as if all drug trafficker's are both armed and dangerous. traffickers either just dont have weapons or if they do its to protect themselves from being robbed not to use on cops. so its actually weird to assume that hes armed and dangerous just becuase hes transporting drugs

That first video proves how cowardly many people in law enforcement really are. When they are dealing with some regular citizen, they act all tough in numbers, nonstop f-bombs, being antagonistic and arrogant, etc. They 100% KNEW that first guy was a hardened and dangerous criminal; the exact type they should deal with using a lot of cops. Instead, they sent in who was probably the youngest, nicest, and least aggressive cop in their department to deal with THAT criminal all his own and without any visible backup. I feel so awful for his family, friends, and other loved ones because he was one of those people who literally seemed like a great police officer who respected people.

That's why I have a hard time giving a shit about any of these tyrants getting got. They trample people rights, and abuse the shit out of citizens on the daily just as a matter of course, and think they are above the law. Like that one in the video where the female pulled the dude over and ran the tired old "i smell weed" line to give themselves probable cause to pull him out and search his car. Well, they messed with the wrong one that day. Can't tell you how many times I've seen cops abusing their power and being tyrannical. I have sympathy for the families that lost loved ones, but as nwa said FTP.

"RIP Officer Jarrott. Thank you for your service and sacrifice." Interesting sentiment. Let’s examine it without the lens of emotional reverence. The concept of "sacrifice" implies a conscious choice to endure harm for a greater cause. One might question whether Officer Jarrott, or anyone in similar circumstances, truly sacrifices out of altruism-or if it’s simply part of a calculated transaction. Officers take on the role voluntarily, fully aware of the risks, in exchange for job security, pensions, and societal respect. If altruism were the driving force, wouldn’t there be comparable dedication in similarly dangerous but less glorified professions, like sanitation workers or utility linemen? The phrase “thank you for your service” raises another question: what exactly is the "service" here? Is it protecting communities, upholding laws, or maintaining a system that often prioritizes state authority over individual welfare? And in this case, did the "sacrifice" yield a meaningful outcome, or was it a tragic example of systemic inefficiency? As for the federal agents described as cowardly-perhaps they too were acting rationally. After all, their survival ensures their ability to continue performing their duties. If the mission was ultimately completed without further loss of life, was their perceived "cowardice" not pragmatism in disguise? Perhaps the entire situation is less about noble sacrifice and more about a flawed system where human lives, whether law enforcement or civilian, are expendable in the pursuit of enforcing societal rules that themselves are open to scrutiny.

@@isworthy1183 Yeah, the classic "I smell weed" excuse that they use as an excuse to bypass the 4th Amendment to search a car. I used to have the mindset that people who refuse consensual searches and refused to answer questions were "hiding something", but after I've seen the number of DUI arrests that have been made on people that have all the tests come back negative, and all the K9 searches that "hit" on a vehicle where nothing is found, or the bogus "I smell weed/alcohol" that results in nothing, I'm *ALWAYS?* skeptical of ANY officer that says they smell something. Officers have a "You WILL obey me" complex so they take it personal when you don't voluntary follow their optional commands, and they really don't like it when you call them out on their bullshit when they say they "smell something".

Are you out of your fucking mind that the police should "find out" trying to keep our roads safe from murderous individuals potentially driving under the influence? Life flashes right in front of your eyes, I been there when I had a very bad car accident..I was trapped half out of car and half not out of car. My shoulder, and other upper parts of my body were dislocated beyond any means!

I can second this, it's awful. I just broke my neck in a car accident back in August, and I'm finally healed enough to get back to work. Things can change so suddenly

I nearly started crying on the very first dude. They literally used that poor man as cannon fodder. What kind of sick person would give the greenlight to an operation like that when they knew for a fact that Felix was armed and dangerous?

Jarret did not deserve that at all! He’s barely lived and homeland sent him in the dark with no back up while they sat on their asses doing good knows what! Family should sue and more! And a serious overhaul on homeland to actual have people on there so their jobs!

Seriously, he shot at the cops because he was scared(don't agree with it but he panicked)....them trying to force him out of the car for smelling weed, tazing him over and over while he was just sitting there WITH the seatbelt keeping him restrained???? He even told the woman to get a canine because she was clearly bullshitting.

That Officer Jarriot footage is some of the most upsetting footage in all of youtube. I got a new found respect for cops after I saw that footage. The police have a very difficult job to do in a very dangerous world that is only getting worse.
