I'd take Coutinho back ONLY on a loan, with Barca paying 60% of the wages. Similar to the Bale deal with Spurs. If that golfer can get 10 goals in the Prem, I think Coutinho could manage 6-8. We do need goals from midfield, that was an area severely lacking last season. Plus, there is a WC coming up in over a year, he has motivation to get fit and in form again. Just make sure he has healed from his "great sadness back pain" in the medicals!

I was convinced that he, Bobby, and Mane would rule our front 3 for a long time, but fate had something even better and gave us Salah also and I thought wow the fab four were gonna be legendary. But he left and the rest is history. He gave us nothing but happiness in football, and when he went, he gave us Virgil, and as fate had it our front 3 became legendary. The only good thing I noticed from Liverpool's point of view is when all of our front 4 were playing Sadio was not that effective as Coutinho was always coming to the left side of the pitch where Sadio was playing, even Sadio had to come in the middle to influence the game as he was playing in a position he was less effective. Barcelona and Messi's problem was having a similar kind of issue as Coutinho who is also lethal in front of a goal and likes to get the ball in the box or outside it. But they wanted a winger who can cross or pass them or a player like Iniesta or Xavi who can play split pass the ball to them. But he likes to roam with the ball and be influential in a game with the ball. If he had been to a club that needed a number 10 then he would have suited them better. But because Messi is Messi and surely nobody can replace him, he had to settle for the role of a winger.
