I've worked in a call centre in the UK, and one of the problems when customers are talking to someone in a different country is that there can be a delay on the line, so it can be quite easy for the agent to talk over the person on the phone, which can come across as being rude. Also in the UK, we have people with very thick accents, like the Scottish accent and Liverpoodlion, etc., so the agent might not be able to understand what the customer wants.

1) I agree, the company only worries about getting the calls done fast than providing good CS experience. The companies want their cake and eat it too while stressing out their agents. 2) I am surprised the case is being assigned to regular call agents, usually is for the higher management or the fulfillment location that has to provide an update. We agents are not suppose to follow up, and have the next agent take ownership of the call. I can see where the annoyance is coming from with the customer because the next agent has to review the notes, and the customer almost has to repeat themselves and get more frustrated over the phone.

One time tumawag ako sa call center and halata tlg na filipina ung nakausap ko kasi mahinhin sya at mabait unang tanong nya sakin how's my experience daw with the product gusto ko sya kausapin In Tagalog pero sbi ko baka bawal. Feel ko baguhan sya kasi parang medyo nerbyos which is naintindihan ko kasi nerbyosa din ako eh. matapang nga sya dhil nagwowork sya sa call center ako nga takot magapply kasi im not fluent in English to be honest.

Try to watch british podcast guys esp, filipinos whose accent is very Filipino so you can acquire british accent and if you mastered that they won't think you're a Filipino.
