It is amazing that this poem was written 1500 years ago and now I understand it without translation من المدهش أن هذه القصيدة كتبت منذ 1500 سنة وأنا الآن افهمها بدون ترجمة

There is no such thing as Islamic music. As for the clip, it is very old, even before the birth of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Arabs have been famous for their poetry since ancient times.

It's poetry, not music. Music involves instrument and/or singing, while with poetry, all you need is to be able to recite and/or to write :)

I dunno bro some of the poem's verses have been butchered by the translation. Like the very first line, it would have been much better if you translated it literally.

Brothers, genuine question to guys who are more learned than me (channel creator too). What's the view of Antarah poems Islamically, am I allowed to take inspiration from these poems even though they are from Jahiliyyah. I find these to be incredible lyrically, and they motivate me lol. They're honestly bangers lol. Is it permissible for me to feel that way about these poems/ use them as inspiration?
@yusufaljaber852
@yusufaljaber852 2 жыл бұрын
The prophet (pbuh) said:((I was sent to perfect morals)) This means that Jahiliya although it was a time full of arrogance and falsehood it wasn't fully 100% Bad , arabs back then had some good morals and characters and the prophet pbuh was sent to remove the bad and complete the good.
@shafaatoo9328
@shafaatoo9328 2 жыл бұрын
@@yusufaljaber852 yes, because a lot of the morals and values that are proported in this poem align with Islamic values. Makes sense, Jazakallah for the clarification.

(Poets are followed by the perverse. (224) Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, (225)and they say what they do not do? (226)Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). (227) But It depends on the poem lyrics if it is good a genuine then that is that and if it is bad then no The prophet saw said (some poem is wisdom) and he had a poet his name was hassan ibn thabit so good poem is acceptable But taking inspiration from poem is a bit problematic because most of poem had bad in it either lies or dirty words

@@northernleader4777 yes he was a slave, but because of his courage and the honour that he gained defending his tribe. his father reclaimed him as a son... (he was born from a Slave mother, and the father who was from one of the noble families, refused him at birth, but antara gained the respect of all, gained a name and an honour... and most important of all he was a hero and a legend... you can't refer to him as a slave, he is a noble man who has a name...

@@gooddoctor9542 Man, you like it or not. He said about himself as a slave in one of his poem as a slave. So yes it is known for Arabs that anyone had a slave mother, then he would be a slave even if his father is a king or caliph.

@@northernleader4777 he was, but when his father gave him his name he became no longer a slave... he was a free and an honorable man... and for his poems he mentioned he is slave because his enemies mocked him thinking they could provoke him by calling him slave, so it was like saying "yes I am that slave you heard of... let me show you what a slave can do"... he doesn't say it to confirm he is slave but to confirm he is never ashamed of what he was
