I am a 57 yr old grandmother who happened to discover BTS during the pandemic. They have been my lifesavers because my depression and anxiety were so bad. Their music 🎶 and lyrics are uplifting, positive, kicking my butt right out of the black hole, my mind, body & soul go to hide from the whole world 🌎 I love and appreciate them so much, that I joined the Army. Yes, 2 of my kids think I'm a Lil nuts but who cares. I worked in our local middle school so I've always had my hand on all of the new music and artists because of the kids. It's how I connected with them and being the administrative secretary for the vice-principal the kids needed someone on their side, someone they trusted, could count on. I was that person and they knew I would never betray them. BTS IS also the only Kpop group I list to. NO ONE can take away my love and respect for these young men. The hardships and heartache they share with their fans who fight for them when something is not right, some serious shi$. BTS and Armys share a Neverending love that goes well beyond artists and fans. We both genuinely care, love and want the same things for each other and if these IDIOTS weren't so blatantly stupid, actually took the time to listen to their lyrics they WOULD UNDERSTAND THIS! Thanks for keeping it real, speaking out 🔊, giving BTS and their Fandom a voice. It's friends like you that make a huge difference for us ♥️💙💜🤟

I remember that comparison. Covid was a horrible dark time, kids were committing suicide because having to isolate from the world and remain indoors continuously was extremely difficult, they were killing themselves at a high rate. BTS worked hard to bring entertainment into our homes with live concerts streamed online. The continued creating new music and had concerts without fans physically present and for artists seeing the fans it their oxygen, nutrition. Without the presence and sounds of fans it's like fish out of water so they also suffered emotionally. For their first online concerts during their greetings Jimin broke down crying because their fans were on screens not in person. Covid was horrible yet these young men pushed past the emotional hardships to continue to bring us relief. How dare that or anyone say something so horrible. What did he mean that they are like Covid? The were deadly virus that was highly contagious and causing deaths? So many people throughout the world have such dark souls. This one of the many reasons why BTS is so loved and protected world wide. They love humanity and go out of their way to help life to be better for everyone. I'm so glad I came across this upload. They are truly special persons with so much love. They are also great influences in helping to smooth out the role of boys to grown men for allowing families and society to change their mind set that the male gender doesn't have be thought of as the strong, tough, hard mind and emotions but instead view the male gender as people, humans and that they too have sensitive feelings, tender loving hearts and that it makes them feel good and happy to live each day treating others tenderly, kindly, sweetly. They just as female gender have favorite dolls, stuffed animals, they also have slumber parties, love clothes fashion and style. They also like taking care of their faces so they don't look aged over 10 years from their real age. Men also like fads, hair dyes, perms, enhancing their facial features. Why not? Throughout history men have always lived that way and it didn't take away from being chivalrous, gentlemen, manly even if with contoured eyes and women we see them as beautiful with beautiful smooth and loving personalities and we can always borrow any facial enhancers from our boyfriend/husband/brother. 2024, it's time to stop the stigma. BTS are beautiful souls that have contributed to mankind in many ways for the betterment of our lives. They are more than highly talented artists that are in it for self fame or money they use their platform to help teens that are so stressed they take their lives, help aged people sort out misconstrued life time baggage. They are loved because they give love in abundance.

As a Greek army I am sorry for the first one. Most of Greece is extremely behind in most subjects, including inclusivity. We Greek army's are very sorry. I’m not gonna lie I thought my daughter was watching some girly boy band at first and now I’m a bigger fan than she is. I am German and I was SO EXTREMELY mad when I heard that with the radio show in Bavaria! I think even non-German speakers can hear it, but he said these words with SO much vile and hate in his voice. The first time I heard it I was just speechless and then I just got very VERY angry. And the “Apologies” after that were even more infuriating, because he didn’t apologize, he basically said “I am sorry you are offended, it was just a joke”. Also the fact that other German hosts and wannabe celebrities supported what he said and “protected” him made me rage. After that he even said more stupid shit about BTS and Army on Facebook. As a professional, whether you're the one writing the script or the host reading it, you're expected to do your research on the topics you are presenting. You're also expected to know the pronunciation of all names in the script because it can get you and the station in trouble (like in this situation) if that person or their fans get offended. And while I understand that pronouncing Korean names (if you aren't used to it) can be hard, BUT it's very easy to look up the pronunciation of any of their names and find a 10 second video (or shorter) on KZbin for it. But clearly, from the way all of these hosts act while they're broadcasting LIVE, they are not professionals.

Most of the accounts I follow on twitter are ages between 25 - 60. I'm honestly not surprised that there are people like this around the world and that's sad if you think about it. I hadn't really heard of BTS until I watched a carpool karaoke when they did that crosswalk concert. I have since the watched a TON of videos on them. They've put in so much hard work...blood, sweat and tears to get where they are today. I liked CNCO back when they were a 5 member group. I think back to how i thought it was so strange that my 5 year old daughter religously watched and listened to bts on her ipad. Knowing full well they never spoke a word of english and a majority of their songs are in korean as well. But she loved them nonetheless. Until one day I stumbled upon subtitles and english translations to their songs and I could see what they stood for. That their songs were not about hate, violence, race, sex, drugs or egotistical things. Their music spoke about mental health, love and loving yourself. They speak on so many issues that many young people face and for that I am appreciative of them. I now consider myself ARMY. I watch many episodes of the 7 members, and I see their different personalities, brotherly affection and love towards each other, that gives me great comfort. They are just like you, and I. Not only are they beautiful people but they are great rolemodels! I am so saddened to hear such hateful remarks towards them.

I remember a lot of these issues. I have been ARMY since 2014. I am a 40 year old career woman with a degree. I love BTS and their music. I know and understand that many ARMYs are toxic. What I am about to say excludes those toxic fans. What I love about ARMYs the most. We stand for our guys. We come together and we get the job done. Those hosts all say it’s a joke and say “if YOU are offended… we apologize”. No, you were grown in making those harmful comments, be grown and say you messed up. As a 38 year old woman in the USA I have been a fan of all the boy ands starting with New Edition and NKOTB in the 80s/90s then the boy band wave of the late 90s/2000s. I can honestly say that Ive never seen any of those groups do even half of what BTS does. I heard about BTS a few years ago but just became an ARMY this year. I have fallen in love with this band in such a short time and their music has helped me so much. #BTSforever

Western TV shows featuring BTS content or K-pop content has so much xenophobia and racism very often. Even if I’m not a BTS fan, as an Asian, I would still feel extremely disgusted by how they treated a fellow Asian. I used to look up to the western side so much when I was younger and now I’m getting more and more disappointed by how they treat my race.

I’ve heard that those ppl usually only get death threats from a handful of ppl- not saying it’s a good thing but it’s been over exaggerated to get ppl on their side. Most of the time these ppl don’t show receipts of those threats so we don’t even know if it’s true. Again not saying it’s ok but sometimes I feel like they’re just lying for local support.

they are the reason I cured my depression! seriously I have never been a fan of any person to that level but BTS case is totally different to me at this point I am emotionally attached to them.... I mean there's nothing different between Asian boy group and western group. The only things is their race and the language. Music is just music. These both have talented in their own way. But kpop fan never judged those western artist by racist way or look. It's like those western people really think themselves like they are more powerful and own the whole world like it's so annoying.
