I appreciate seeing the Seiko Luxe after a fair amount of use. Seeing the level of scratching that occurs despite Seiko's hard Coating is helpful. Plus it's good to see that it's actually being worn and put to good use.

The wife gave me the SNR051 for my birthday, love the watch and Seiko brand. Great review, keep up your great work and reviews.

That watch has an amazing dial. Love it. The price point is a little scary… But, it’s not completely out of line. The most shocking part of the video… watching you take a dip in almost freezing cold water. Gave me chills. You’re a brave man.

I love the look of the LX pieces , but they are slightly too large for my liking. Hoping to see some improvements regarding case diameter and thickness in the future.
@WristWatcher8 ай бұрын
Diameter is slightly bigger than mm300 because the bezel is bigger, the case is same

Great looking watch Toran! I have to jump in the lake tomorrow to move the boat lift-the lake is so cold 🥶! I’d have a extremely difficult time spending that much on a Seiko. Best regards 😎

I do love that dial/bezel and overall presentation. 7K is a lot to ask, but very cool to see a Seiko with spring drive and true GMT features being offered in titanium.

Thanks for your video, I noticed couple of scratches especially on the bracelet. I have read this model has a scratch resistance shield, don't it is ?
@jaredblakecooper2 жыл бұрын
well, the LX line is effectively a Grand Seiko, but without some of the finishing. if Seiko/GS could get their spring drive GMTs down to something more like 42 mm, i would get one in a second.

I like how Seiko is so aware of themselves that they fitted a smooth bezel action so that any idiot could put put the bezel insert in and not worrying that its 12 o'clock triangle marker position would be at exactly 59:37 as is their signature. Anyway, after I saw Mark from Long Island Watches show this piece in hia video I have become a bit obsessed with this model, and I think it is about to become my grail watch. I'd always wanted a really cool and different Seiko sports model, I've always wanted a Springdrive, I've always wanted a GMT, I've always wanted a titanium watch, I've always thought the Rolex Batman/Batgirl is just a tad bit too boring for my taste. And, since it is truly a limited edition (albeit 400 is almost at the edge of what I would call Limited Edition) it still means that it's rarity in itself is a bonus factor for how interesting it already is. And lastly, I kinda prefer it only says Seiko, and not GS, because then it would just be another GS model. But since it is "just" a Seiko, it's a bit more low-key whilst at the same time show what they are capable of when they really want to show off what they pack in their repertoire. Only complaint I have is that it is a bit huge, 43mm would be much better. But at just over 50mm in height, it's still quite manageable. Edit: typos and whatnot.

Thats hilarious, when I was a kid I swam in lake Huron at the end of fall, not sure where but it was in Canada. My family said if I did it they'd take me to the CN tower, which they never did. Froze my ass off. Anyways, this watch, would I purchase a 6000ish USD Seiko? I love this watch, its way too thick and big for me but oh well. Would I buy a Seiko that costs the same? Probably not. I'm still fairly new to the hobby, just started making good money in the last couple of years; if I spend that much I want a name that people will recognize as being luxury brand, Rolex for example. However I mean it in a non-flex way. Its probably not a good look for me, needing the cachet of a well-known luxury brand potentially even over the substance of a watch but its the truth. I'm sure once I feel more settled that will change.

Is the S on the word spring drive missing paint? 😅 Kinda disappointing to have that QC issue at this price point. I have an SNR029 and the '30' on the bezel doesnt perfectly align at the 6 o'clock when the triangle lume pip is at 12. 😅 Overall the LX seiko line is very impressive, i just did not expect QC issues at this price level. 😅
@EverydayWatchGuy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah there are some minor QC issues on the dial. However the rest of the watch is awesome

Also, the battery reserve metal cap is a bit scratched. Hopefully you could get a discount for those.

It is a Grand Seiko, just without the Grand Seiko logo. It costs more retail than some Grand Seiko's

I think you should have mentioned that this is a used watch, as evidenced by the abundance of scratches on both the watch and the bracelet. It doesn't affect the quality of the review, but I was a bit shocked at first, expecting a "perfect" finish on a new watch...

Sorry, yeah I purchased this watch used.

Would have looked even better with a sloping bezel. I’m not a big fan of the ‘tin can lid’ look, that Seiko uses a lot. Nice watch and video presentation though.
