I agree. It's the only reason I don't re-watch older shows I used to watch on Nick at Nite when I was younger. As I've grown older, the laugh tracks seem to bother me more, while when I was a kid, I used to watch Fresh Prince every morning before school when I was in middle school (circa 2006-2009)

Yes! I started rewatching a few times lately and realised Drake was actually somewhat the brains as well, and I think that's why they shifted to both characters having positives and negatives because Drake was pretty much the whole package and Josh was just a goofball lmao. But at the same time, in the later seasons ,I don't think it's that bad still at all, they have some great episodes. Example is The Wedding, probably one of the best episodes in the series but they do tap into the Drake being dumb thing.

As far as continuing to watch these shows goes, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to keep watching or not. Some can separate art from artist, others can't, but I personally believe either way no one is in the wrong. That aside, I'm pretty much in the same boat about Drake and Josh specifically. It was one of my favorite shows when it was on air and I really liked watching it, but looking back on it, it does seem more dumb than funny in my opinion. Obviously, there are plenty of people who still love it and that's fine, it's just not for me anymore.

Boy Meets World actually has a really interesting instance of the same character being played by multiple actors. The main character, Cory, had a younger sister who was played by a little girl in early seasons. However, at some point, the actor left the show. A few seasons later (in the final season, I believe, but I could be misremembering), they ended up bringing back the character and recast her. (Since the characters had grown up, she obviously had, as well.) They made a joke about the character being up in her room for a long time. But it gets better. Because, see, this show ended having a sequel show years later on Disney Channel, Girl Meets World. When the character was brought back for what ended up becoming the series finale (the show wasnt renewed for another season), they brought back _both_ actors playing the _same_ character (Cory's little sister) on-screen at the _same_ time. It was never explained. The show did acknowledge the weirdness of the situation, too.
