Chris Camillo is founder of DumbMoney.TV and @DumbMoneyLive. An individual investor who quit his “day job” years ago to focus on markets, Chris explains in this segment how he and his co-hosts use “Social Arbitrage” to prosper. The general idea? Use social media platforms and community-based input, discussion groups, and “boots on the ground” insights to identify important trends just a few steps ahead of Wall Street. Then invest in the companies which are best positioned to capitalize on them. In Chris’ words, “The best observational investors are just ordinary people.”
We then pivot to a discussion of how the social media landscape has changed over the years, with different platforms becoming more (or less) valuable over time. For instance, Chris says he finds TikTok more valuable than Twitter/X for social arb research now. He also expands on some of his recent videos and Shorts, explaining when, why, and how someone can invest aggressively to boost returns…why it’s important to view every dollar for the hundred dollars that it can and should be...and what is so important about “bucketing” risk capital properly. Finally, Chris provides a preview of what he’ll discuss at the Investment Masters Symposium Miami, set for April 10-12 at the Hyatt Regency Miami hotel. I would love to do something similar. But very few people would risk investing with someone you don't know. Yep you hear stories of people met at a conference and go on to found the next great thing etc etc.....If anyone in the UK wants to explore this, how would you go about it. Happy to do a DBS check and meet up.

Does Chris Camillo have a group for investors to join? Otherwise, if there is no way to know what his ideas and investments are, then there is no reason to be listening to him.

Well, he just told us his strategy: Pick up trends just before the market does. Hard to pull, but makes sense.

He’s not some bozo selling courses. He doesn’t have a group or discord you can join for a fee to just copy his trades. Learn what to how and what to invest in by reading his book. Best book I’ve bought in a while.

He created and used "TickerTags" to find trends. He sold it to "M Science" a couple of years ago but retained access to it so that's how he knows in what to invest. M Science didn't make the software public so that's why there is no reason for him to describe his process because you can't replicate it.
