If you mount the supercharger in the exhaust, it straight blows out your cats and destroys your exhaust flow dynamics. Like, where the absolute f**k do you mount a (not electric like Cleetus tested) supercharger besides the intake, and how many times do you have to fold it to slip it past the throttle plates and assemble it like a ship in a bottle?

So they have some cheapo superchargers which is just a fan inside the intake tube, on the mid 2000s mini Cooper S, they had a supercharger before they switched to turbo. The supercharger however was an electric fan that was mounted underneath the car that sucked air in from the bottom to increase power output slightly

That eclipse guy was pretty on point if he did have a fully built motor. Stock 420a engine makes like 140hp, 200hp on a NA 420a is impressive, the transmissions on those were trash so the clutch problems make sense

When I had a V6 mustang I'd straight up tell people, "It's not fast, it doesn't sound good, bone stock other than cold air intake, 0-60 in maybe, they supposedly make 150hp from factory but I'd be surprised if it hit 80 on a dyno. But I got it for 1k with a bad fuel pump, put a new one in and its a reliable, fun, decent-looking daily driver. I couldn't care less about performance" and I never had a single person say I should've got a v8, everyone agreed that it was a decent car and would usually give me compliments on it

All Honda V6’s from that gen Accord until they stopped having them in Accords altogether, always had dual exhausts! Not TRUE duals but like most later model cars with them, branching out from a single pipe to a Y pipe to dual mufflers! Then Honda started having the ‘duals’ on later model Accord ‘Sport’ models with 4 cylinder engines also. Really just LX models with ‘sporty exterior enhancements’ like the duals, lower profile wheels and rims.

My brother had an '86 Ford Tempo, at the same time I had an '84 Mercury Topaz. Back in the late 90s. Literally THE same car. Both made under 100 horsepower. Stock, brand new. Both hit 0-60 in roughly 12.5 seconds, with a quarter mile ETA between 18-19 seconds. Stock, brand new. Slow as hell? Doesn't even cover it. But, they were fun to hoon. 👍 Bonus? Mine, used to belong to the local FD's chief. And even though the cherry strobe had been removed? The siren was still in tact. You bet your sweet ass, that it may or may not have been abused on multiple occasions. Until my mom found out. And made us rip it all out...... Which is why that dude's video will forever be hilarious to me.

I'm pushing 220 at the wheels in my 95 neon that has stage 2 crower cams, crower valve springs, fidanza cam gears, tuned ecu, full exhaust I made from the header back, intake ducted behind the fog light opening, fully gutted other than front seats, center console, and dash, 52mm tb, and an acre transmission with 3:93 final drive with limited slip and I have a stock clutch in it. The power 100% makes it to the wheels lol. You just can't shift it lightning fast like you could with an aftermarket clutch. The car isn't the fastest car in the world but I'll tell you right now it's fun af to drive.

Me: my head is ported and I put in different cams. Dude : show me!! Me: i can't, if you pay me for the time to take off my valve cover sure... But I can show you photos on my phone. Dude : then you didn't do nothing. (bmw m54 engine, i put the plastic cover over the intake cam so you can't see it through the oil cap. I work with a guy like this. Most of the guys I work with are car guys. My guy had an Acura TL think it was an ‘05 or something, he had the worst exhaust on it, it was straight piped and the tips were the kind that go straight up and look extra stupid. He claimed they were one of a kind built specifically for his car, didn’t know the brand name. He said he had a cold air intake but when he showed me under the hood I saw a filter but it was blocked behind the small slit of a grill that the TL has and behind the battery so not sure what cold air that thing was sucking in because it ain’t breathing in nothing but heat lol. We asked him how much power he was running and he said 800 LOL dude my first build was a ‘13 VW GLI and before I sold it it was making 368 hp. My current build is a B8 Audi S5 4.2 and it currently makes 400 flat (just started it so it’s only making 50 more than stock), one of my coworkers has a C5 Vette, 68 Camaro restomod, and a Chevy Silverado that he supercharged, not sure what power he’s making but it’s good enough. Another one of my coworkers has a 400+ whp Type R, shit even one of my female coworkers tracks a fully built Golf R so most of us know what we were looking at. I tried to even tell him that if he wants to build his car that’s fine but he might want to get a cheap reliable car to daily instead of his “project” and he said he’s looking at a rat rod or a ‘68 Camaro LOL

My Cruze only got 183whp on the dyno. 😂 Started at 125, haven't done intercooler, turbo, or internals yet. Just a ported head, ported intake manifold, ZZP valve springs, Catch can, tune, and fuel injectors. Gotta do a lot of work to get to 200whp. Dudes like these exist because of dudes like me! I have an 86 Dodge Daytona that we fully built as a dragster! 572 hemi about 13 to 1 compression ratio. Pulled constant 8.8 second 1/4 miles at Amarillo dragway outside of Amarillo, Texas and 8.6s in Thunder Valley, Florida i believe it was! We haven't ran her since the pandemic kicked off, but she still does excellent driveway launches and burnouts!
