EMINEM speaks about how his uncle Ronnie introduced rap to him by gifting him his first rap CD in alot of his other tracks, (basically saying that uncle Ronnie saved his life) so he's saying that uncle Ronnie drove into arkum asylum implying that he is the Joker (who's a psychopathic killer) and uncle Ronnie was the one who rescued him. This bar hits even harder cause it completes that whole dark knight scheme and The joker from the dark knight trilogy is regarded as the greatest psychopathic villainous killer OF ALL TIME

Some just mean rapping for the sake of rapping is pointless. Some people prefer story telling or when a track has better purpose. It's when they deny the rapping is masterful it gets corny

The "Glad to be back again" line is also a reference to his song "Underground" from Relapse, which was his first album back after his overdose and the hiatus he went through. In the song "Underground," he says; "And Glad bags, yeah, glad to be back 'Cause last year was a tragedy that landed me smack dab in rehab." And in this song, he says "...GLAAD bag Won't be the last time I make a dramatic entrance like that again" because he made a dramatic entrance when he released his album "Relapse," when he was "glad to be back." BARS

It takes multiple listens to understand the depth of Ems bars, nobody layers and connects bars like Em, nobody throws in pop culture, historical and current events into relevant bars like Em, the ones who claim Em isn't saying anything really aren't listening or lack the knowledge of what Ems speaking on. Simple as that

Yes he’s basically saying that because the younger generation has grown up on mumble rap and cadence styled songs rather then lyrical songs that that’s all they’ve ever known and don’t even know what being Lyrical is rather then the people who grew up in the 80’s, 90’s and very early 2000’s where a lot of popular rappers rapped about real life events and problems while also having great lyricism and cadence on top of it. Music was a way of speaking your mind with the possibility of reaching millions with your message. You could think of it as something that the people of the world would use to share their thoughts and concerns that the government would have little influence over. It really was a way to bring the people together but nowadays there’s so much garbage in-between that it’s just not the same.

Great breakdown but what’s still criminal is this isn’t the original version. This one is ever so slightly sped up and the pitch is much higher. The uncle Ronnie bar is a shout-out to his literal uncle who showed him his first ever rap songs. His uncle Ronnie was only a couple years older than him who actually committed suicide when Em was a teenager. So like Bonnie & Clyde he will do this rap shit until it kills him knowing it’s suicide. Lastly Arkham Asylum is a fictional mental health prison within the Batman universe, a call back the the Dark Knight reference in the previous bar.

When Em says that his arsenal will scar you for life worse than Tsarnaev he is referencing the injuries he suffered from road rash, blast injuries from an explosive device, gunshot and shrapnel wounds and a head wound and abdominal wound, also his intestines were coming out of his abdomen. He got shot in one side of his face and the bullets exited the opposite side. I have never heard any rapper as gruesome as Em

@@gregtrust5599 I feel that. In my opinion what truly separates an artist like Em from Royce, is Em’s ability to write hit songs. Tbh that’s the thing that separates Eminem from a lot of these technical rappers. It’s one thing to be able to bar your ass off but it’s a whole other thing when you’re able to turn it into a mainstream hit that can even be appreciated by people who aren’t there for the lyrics.

Stevie, you did well this time. Even-though you missed some references, your overall ability to understand - to rephrase what Eminem is saying lyrically into plain English - has improved tremendously; Also, identifying schemes and the terms that fall into a scheme. It's a clear indicator that your brain understands artistic language better now. I'd give you a solid B. There is always room for improvement for all of us.

I love the revision. A writer, one of my favorites, said something to the effect of " K.I.S.S.", keep it simple stupid, it's not an insult, revision on one's work is always progress. That's why the band sold so much, Gene Simmons has his PhD in writing, but I learned this from a teacher and a very short book, almost pamphlet sized, it's called "The Essence Of Style; By: Strunk & White." E.B. white wrote Charlotte's Web

When I watch these reaction videos people have to actually sit there and analyze what he's saying and listen to it three four times. He is almost 50 years old and people are still analyzing and reacting to his music what other rapper can you say that about. He's almost 50 and rappers are still trying to go at him just to get some attention. 🐐

I come back to your reaction of this song a couple times a year since this album was released. I enjoy the way you get distracted by how amazing this song was produced, then you process what em said… it’s just a great example of how I listen to EM. I’m so happy that he is still making music that makes you bob your head casually to the hook, then when he does hard you bob your head harder than Mgk when he denied the end of his career… if you read til then end thank you! My favorite pass time is to get a little buzzed and comment on videos/ express my favorite videos and why I’m obsessed with searching for other people enjoying the same thing. I work so fucking much and if it wasn’t for the comments and the music community I wouldn’t be motivated to save up enough money to make my own reaction channel one day!!! If any of you are down as well, reply to me and maybe we can do a non traditional face time chat where we meet for the first time to just react to a song together! I really want to hear others perspectives/ depict the fact that we all can love similar things but the basis for our love is completely different!! Sorry for unloading on here! But I just love the community we’ve been establishing ❤

My answer nobody is on Em's level. Royce is on a high level tho, but he's just not in the clouds being Zeus coming down when somebody asks if your the goat? I’ve seen you try to dissect the Jolly Green giant bar a few times now and you’re missing the big picture of why he’s on that subject. “The chances of me tryna fucking be quiet gotta be about as high…” so what he’s going to say after is something that has really low odds of being quiet. Then he talks about the jolly green giant (of course tall or high) trying to sneak by a beehive colony in a been stalk but he falls. And then he does the loud “thud” ad lib for the noise and adds that the giant is stomping. All that imagery to illustrate how he’s never gonna stop talking his shit.
