When this dog did what it did on the court during half time, it was a real sign of what type of night it was for the Phoenix Suns. Things were horrible for them.
And with 8 minutes to go in the game, Fox seemingly puts the nail in the coffin for the Suns, making it a 22 point game.
Dating back to the bubble, teams that were down 22 points in the fourth had a combined score of 0-1244. That is 0 wins and more than a thousand losses. So the odds were against Phoenix.
I was about to turn the game off and go to bed, but I noticed that KD is still playing strong and aggressive defense, blocking the shot here which opened up the fast break for Phoenix and a little 4-0 run for them.
At this point I’m like, ok let me give it just a couple more possessions. And as soon as I said that, watch what happens:
Hold on, did you catch that? Let me rewind it.
Even tho it’s just for a split second, you see the first pump by KD. He still truly believes that they have a shot to win this game, despite it being a 15 point deficit.
But despite that, this is still a 17 point game with just 5 minutes to go. However, look at the suffocating defense that the Suns are playing, the level of effort that they’re putting, leading to easy opportunities and quick points on offense to cut into the lead little by little.
And with this 3 you know that everyone is fired up and Phoenix is all the way back in the game. Now the crowd is going crazy, the intensity is even higher, and under that pressure Sacramento coughs it up, as the drama continues. Leading to an Eric Gordon 3 to make it a 1 possession game with a minute to go.
Now watch how inexplicable this is: As the Kings miss this shot, what is Sabonis doing here? Why are you chasing Booker all the way back here, so as he falls we got this…
A 19-2 run in 4 and a half minutes to tie the game. Unbelievable. Now it’s chaos, the Kings don’t even know what they’re running. Fox forces one up and rims out. To make matters even worse, Sabonis also fouls KD on the loose ball so you put a sniper at the free throw line and you of course he’s going to knock down both shots to give Phoenix the lead.
Now all of a sudden you have to score a bucket to save yourself, and thankfully for the Kings, D’Aaron finally gets a bucket for them to tie it.
But unfortunately for him, he would be involved on the defensive end as well, and not in a good way…
You see that this is a clear foul, putting Durant on the line once again, and KD stays clutch to once again give them the lead in the final seconds. All they need now to complete this epic comeback is just 1 final stop.
Unbelievable! You see the reaction by Durant as they get a much needed win.
The NBA proves once again that you can never celebrate too early, however big the lead is.
Another night with a thriller ending after the one between Miami and Brooklyn, where the Nets gave away the win with some questionable decisions at the end. Check out exactly what happened right here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.

He's already one of the GOATs based on his talent alone. The issue with KD is that he's so good that it's impossible to don't think he underachieved. He only has two rings and won because he joined the best team in the league... You can find many more dudes with far more impressive accolades who are not half the player KD is. That's the issue.
@emmanuela7528
@emmanuela7528 4 ай бұрын
@@raul5081The issue is that basketball is a team game and if your team is not good, you won’t win. OKC didn’t build a team good enough to win. The Warriors did, but then faced a better team and recruited him to help them win. He did. Brooklyn built a team to win, then injuries and mismanagement destroyed it. I can’t blame KD for the failures of other people. Nobody achieves anything by himself alone.
@jrddog
@jrddog 4 ай бұрын
@@emmanuela7528 "OKC didn't build a team good enough to win". Blatantly false. The two seasons following OKC's finals run, they finished with the best record in the West. They missed the playoffs the following year because both Westbrook and KD got hurt but the following year they were good enough to be up on a 73-9 GSW team 3-1. You can chalk some of KD's playoff short comings up to bad luck (injuries mostly) but you can't say it was ever because the team he was on wasn't "good enough to win".

The only people who talk like KD isnt that guy is the casuals. These are the same people that push a narrative that KD is soft and cant handle trash talk on the court over him responding to people on Twitter. Yet hes never been one to fold due to trash talk. Its crazy because so many casuals actually have the ability to push a narrative to an extent its popular opinion. KD was a guy I didnt like because I was a Bron fan, but after some time I had to admit that hes a bucket. These same people will argue he hasnt won without Golden State while ignoring the fact he hasnt had a healthy team or even been healthy himself since leaving. This what happens when you don’t quit and trust your team. They all came through when it mattered. Hope this builds chemistry, they have something special.

The first sequence at 0:43 starts with KD being out of bounds with the official right there, I'm sure it's not significant to what was achieved but momentum is everything and that play started a sequence of progressive phoenix possesions

The Suns have stumbled onto a formula. KD rarely shoots in the first half; he just spots up and does the playmaking. In the fourth quarter, he’s fresh, so he’s going to take the hardest shots and maybe even play centre in a small-ball lineup. This makes sense. Earlier in the season, he scored and handled a lot in the first half. He was often gassed by the fourth quarter (recall his airball against the Lakers). This is why they got Beal. He and Book basically allow KD to be a closer. Man has moved from Greg Maddux to Mariano Rivera.

KD the facilitator reminds me of Jayson Tatum in the last playoff series. Knowing when to give teammate touches and get them going and not trying the bulldoze the game in solo mode. Grayson Allen's hustle plays were the difference maker, though.

For the Suns to play like shit against a very good offensive team and still get the win speaks volume about how scary that team can be. This is their first year with this squad still working on meshing with each other. Just food for thought but the Suns can def be a juggernaut for the next 2-3 years

Voguel is a Defensive coach, so as long as they can bring their A game offensively and score when they want to then I believe the Suns will be fine, the problem is can Voguel get Booker, Beal and KD to play high level defense in the playoffs like he did with the Lakers in 2020..
@MrNashtyone
@MrNashtyone 4 ай бұрын
That's exactly this teams problem. Vogel has no offense and the win was a complete fluke. Owner needs to fire Vogel and bring in Dantoni with a real offense for this team to perform to it's potential

@@MrNashtyone I think Mike D'Antoni retired after the 2021 Nets. I'm open to Mike's offense, but there has to be someone there to bring the team a defensive identity too.
@MrNashtyone

@@smoothsavage2870 That's sad he's retired. Don't blame him but we need a coach who uses an offense like his. I don't know who that would be if it's not him. He's a guy that got shafted at every coaching job he had no but who is largely responsible for the type of offense played in the NBA today. For that he's not even in the suns ring of honor as he should be
@smoothsavage2870

@@MrNashtyone Crap, i meant to say that someone needs to be there with Mike to bring a defensive identity lol. But yea, Mike is for sure an offensive mastermind and the Suns definitely owe him big time.

That's what I keep trying to get people who focus on LeBron to see... You have other dominant players in the league just as good if not better than LeBron, so how can anyone declare LeBron the goat? Michael Jordan was on a level of his own... What that means folks is this... There was NO ONE in the Jordan era that could handle MJ23... NO ONE!!!!! How great of a player do you have to be, to dominate a league filled with super talent? That's a HUGE part of why people see MJ23 in the light they see him in. He was THAT GOOD!!! LeBron James is NOT that good and never will be. In fact, there are several players I would take over LeBron in today's league and K.D. is one of them.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is coaching malpractice by Mike brown, if I am the Gm I am taking my laptop and telling Mike brown, just drain the clock to 24 seconds on every possession and we won by 2 if we make two shots, can you do that?
