One time, I found 33 and raised, but got reraised with two callers, so I figured I was up against at least one overpair, maybe two, so I folded. I was right, they ALL had overpairs. But the flop was 337. Eventually, all three went all in. I could have quadrupled my stack in one hand. The only comfort: it was online poker. The RNG determined the cards after I had folded. If I had called, the cards would have been different. But still.
@roems63963 жыл бұрын
Is that true? The flop could be different based on the hands that stay in? Sounds really shady.
@ricksimon98673 жыл бұрын
@@roems6396 No, the other way round would be shady, and even was exploited. If the virtual deck of cards is determined pre-dealing and does not change anymore, a hacker who has access to that information could exploit that. But if the RNG determines the cards needed only right before it is dealt, there is nothing a hacker can do. And the RNG is connected to the clock; it will produce a different result at 12:00:01,004 than at 12:00:01,005. If I had stayed in the hand, the RNG would have been triggered at a different time and there is no telling which cards would have been dealt. _

*Suggestion* ... along the lines of this viddy ... can you do one with two or more players hitting straight or higher on the flop with their hands? The last one of these is a prime example ... two hit a straight and a flush ... understandably produces instant action!

Paul had 10 hits, 7 diamonds and 3 tens. That must of been hard to fold!
@XiagraBalls3 жыл бұрын
No. 4 diamonds. They're playing short deck. You can tell because the commentator said the guy with 7s had a g/s to a wheel straight on 8A9 (Aces also count as 5s in SD, so he needed a 6).
@flewkisdead3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is short deck, so 4 diamonds and 3 tens since the 7 was folded earlier.

5 handed - I'm not a skilled player - I would just assume ONE of the players had trips, and if it wasn't me a raise in front of me on the flop I'd probably fold, and a raise + reraise I'd definitely fold any of the other hands. in the first pot that was shown.

Poor preflop play from what I saw in those hands. They were treating it like a low stakes cash game. Perhaps because they were in the earlier levels of a longer structured tournament, or maybe they are just donks. Anything more than heads up action to the flop and all you have is 2 pair on one of the wettest flops you will ever see.... this tournament looked like a typical donk fest.
