Lord knows I've been there Dave! Blew a brake line one time as I was backing the boat into the river. Ended up using the E-brake to get her in since I was already there and all. Should have taken that as an omen because it was a day very similar to this one! At least you caught some fish, to top it off ot was a skunk trip... Win some lose some, keep on fishing! I had a garmin force trolling motor 36v. I had the same issues you’re having. Pairing, spinning in circles, turning off, the works. After 2 years of crap it ended up being that it requires the use of AGM batteries. Not had a single problem since. I hope this might help

84 degrees? We had snow flurries this morning. I caught an 11.12 Channel Catfish last night before my second line was in the water. My buddy caught 19. I wonder if Catfish Dave would like our fat Channels? It's a little early for Flatheads here. Next weekend. Hell! You don't need a boat to catch Catfish here. When the spawn is tough there, the Flatheads & Channels are 🔥 here. Imagine if the Tennessee River dumped in to the Great lakes & fisherman in Michigan eat walleyes & throw back catfish & drum.

Catfish..... a bad day for you looks pretty good to us viewers, you know your stuff and you ultimately find a way. I am with you, tech stuff complicates life real bad. So do the ultra complex vehicles we now have. Ya need some armament, maybe torpedoes, on your boat to bring order to the water around you, just kidding, but there are a lot of other boaters that need some lessons on waterway etiquette.
