i'm 82 now dave and too old to go out in a boat but i have a son that is 57 now and he fishes in west point lake in alabama for large catfish.. he releases all fish over 5 pounds and takes pictures of the others for his face book account.. i really enjoy all your videos..

Dave , I wish you would look into getting one of the scuba life vests has a co2 cartridge to blow up. If you fell in the cold water, it would zap you fast. Not a nuisance to wear and just pull lanyard on it to inflate . After you fall in. Not only cold water , but the cruise control on the motor might run 9ff and leave you.

Dave, why don’t you just put a camera mount on the back of the boat so you don’t have to spin the boat around? You can just swap the camera to another mount, get the pic, release the fish, and swap the camera back.

Dave has learned so much from his mentor Dieter Melhorn. They both release fish exactly the same way, I think Dieter is the one that has a copyright on that release. He calls it the Chunk-It method. and Dave is a great guitar player, and with Dieters voice they could make a great duet singing catfish songs. Be more famous then Brooks & Dunn.

Dave, a totally different background than usual firing off today's video. Not of the usual river where your fishing but of your living space. Kind of threw me off for a second.Anyway, with that wind blowing so hard you really should wear at least a hooded sweatshirt to cover your head.I remember my cousin and I went fishing one time, it wasn't that cold but windy I ended up with pneumonia so cover the head.Thank you for going through the headache of narrating. In East Tn. Catfish can get 100 lbs or bigger.Thirty up to 50 lbs.are fairly common.

You really should wear a life jacket. Especially in choppy conditions when fronts are coming through and the action is hot. I know i didnt used to wear mine all the time fishing alone but now with the quality self inflatable rigs available for not much more than a tank of boat gas its just a no brainer to wear them.
