@Ashley Delgado You don't "believe in hate speech"? I understand that if you're privileged and have never experienced hate speech it's possible to just turn a blind eye to it. But that's your privilege shielding you. Hate speech is serious and harmful. And for everyone who seems to not be in favour of rehabilitation: why is it that countries which use a rehabilitative justice system have a far lower rate of recidivism than countries that don't, such as the USA? There are some people who can't be rehabilitated. But I highly doubt those kids were among them. They should of course be held accountable for what they did, absolutely. But if there's a possibility that they can be given the help they need to be functional members of society, why shouldn't they be?

The difficult part is that people don't walk in straight lines without a guideline. You would end up going in circles. You would need something like, a distant mountain, or light, that you can see above the cornstocks. The north star would work on a clear night, the sun during the day. Worst case, as long as you're dressed seasonally, and preferably have some water with you, if it's a cloudy night, you could wait until dawn, then use the sun.

When I was 12-13 (1986-87) my family was at a county fair in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rock Springs is more like plains or deserts, with no trees. The wind is horrible. The day we went the wind picked up the huge Moon Walker, we call them bouncy houses now, straight into the air spilling children out. It flew across the fair, and a little girl fell out onto the top of another ride. She was airlifted to Salt Lake City but passed away. There were quite a few serious injuries. We didn't realize the severity of the situation and kept on riding rides. We didn't find out until the next day what had really happened. The family of the little girl had to spend months fundraising to pay for that life flight to Salt Lake.

Depends on the construction of the maze. Thing with a corn maze is, worst case scenario, you could just barrel through the corn. It might not be the most ideal way to get out and have a set of difficulties tied to it, but as a last resort it's an option. If it's a maze of a more durable construction, then I'll take the haunted house.

Thank God they did that because when we went up and we're actively on the ride and it's going, my harness wasn't snapped in place. The father panicked and held down my harness and held me in place the whole ride. It was pure insanity. Last time I ever got on a ride was a coaster going around a big loop. I don't know the specifics of how this ride was put together or safety features, but after the first loop my harness went really limp, like from it it feeling solid on my chest, to my ass would not be on the seat and I'd be hanging from the harness itself when we reached the top of the loop (Literally just the bstrap going from the harness to the buckle between my legs was the only thing keeping the harness from going back up all the way and me free falling). I literally fell out of the seat when the harness went up and got caught by the harness and the buckle strap. I looked around, saw some solid metal bars on the seat, grabbed them and held on as tight as I could till the ride came to a stop. That was terrifying, and I don't do amusement park rides anymore.
