Sheikh (if you don't mind me calling you Sheikh), I've heard some arab Qur'an teachers pronounce the Beginning of the Ayaat at 2:22 like you. Basically if a letter with Fathah is followed by an Alif, the sound turns from "a" to more of an "ae" sound. Is that necessary or is there like a difference of opinion because I don't hear others (like Mishary Al-Afasy for example) reciting like that? If so, can we choose the latter opinion because it's very difficult to change our habit since this is present in like half of the words in the Qur'an.

Assalaamu alaikum, I think what your trying to say is can we make imaala (tilting the alif or yaa) in the narration of Hafs (most common and famous recitation) there is no imaala except in surah al hud in the word majrayhaa. This is the only imaala in that narration. We make the imaala closer to the yaa (which is called imaala Al kubraa). Btw it’s a common mistake that people when they recite, they make imaala where it shouldn’t be. Example they turn the fatha or alif into an ae, alif and yaa mixed together basically. With the dammah or waow they don’t round the lips as much as it should be. For the kasra and yaa, it’s similar to the alif. They don’t give it the full harakah. Jazakallaah khayran.

@@mxrro817 yeah, the any letter followed by an alif is pronounced by some people I've seen in a similar way to what we have imaala in Surah Hud. But why do I see multiple Arabic teachers doing so? Is there a difference of opinion like the Takrir (i.e: trilling) in the letter "raa"

@@s.adnansami5106 Assalaamu alaikum, jazakallaah khayran it depends on what Qiraa’ah their reciting in. But the most common and famous qiraa’ah is Hafs an Asim and there is only one imaala in both ways. So I’m guessing it might on the teachers end wallaahu a’lam. I’m not sure but i haven’t heard of a difference in the takrir of the raa. Could you maybe go more in details inshallah jazakallaah khayran
