My family moved to the Philippines when I was 8. We attended international schools but transferred to public school to immerse ourselves in the language in culture. I'm 1/4 Filipina but it took a while to adjust since the learning method was different plus the language barrier. I'd say of all the schools I've attended while living abroad, my experience in the Philippines was the most memorable. I loved that we helped clean up the classrooms, teachers were respected, we exercised before homeroom, there were different events and even a dance recital at the end of the year. Most of all I actually learned cursive lol! What I liked the most is everyone participated. There is school spirit. Something that is lacking here in the US.

In the Philippines every batch who will graduate in kindergarten, elementary, high school and college will have their dedication song and graduation song / the theme song of their batch or it can be their own composition. High school graduation is the best. I won’t forget our dedication song & graduation song when we graduated in high school, Do I Make You Proud & Yesterday’s Dream 🥹🥰

It is a tradition in every school in the Philippines during a graduation ceremony. This is one of the things that makes me proud to be a Filipino. Not every school in the world do this but in my country every school does this.

This is a thing in the Philippines. every graduation from Elementary to College will have a dedication song. In my time the most famous song you hear in every graduation is FAREWELL. This is a song popularized by Filipino singer Raymond Lauchengco. A beautiful and meaningful song.

I am Filipino and i fondly remember my high school graduation back in 1974. My classmates and I (all 40 boys) all stood together shoulder to shoulder onstage for the last time to take a bow. For our graduation song, we sang Petula Clark's 'You and I' and Leslie Bricusse's composition, 'Fill the World with Love'. Wow, i got chills recalling the lyrics where the message is timeless, universal, and so hauntingly true. For those of us who are still around and in touch, we will be singing these songs at our upcoming 50th graduation anniversary celebration.

The graduation outfit is called the Toga with the graduation cap. High school graduation usually have white toga over the school uniform or any outfit that the graduating class has decided. Our class wore the school uniform on our graduation. I like it as its our last day to wear the uniform ever.

Yeah the best of our schooling time is graduation and saying goodbyes to friends and classmates are tears and sad byes Rehearse graduation songs take time really. In our side we were given the alto tune and when the day came it's fun coz we can't sing our assigned tune anymore. 😂😂😂 as kids do forget. We lost our tune in the end then everybody applauded us anyway. Yeah school days so fun and happy days 😂😂😂 yeah it's more fun graduating in the Philippines

Being the shortest, not just of my class, but the whole High School I attended. Plus not being a star athlete, nor a top student, or popular in any way, my graduation was one to forget. This was doubly driven home by the fact that the guy, I'm also a guy, I walked in and out with was drunk and also peed his pants made my graduation most forgettable.

@@davidcochran6291 bro the fact is regardless of all these generalizations you make about urself, u are still unique in fact nobody can be you regardless of how hard they try, no one will look like u etc. may sound repetitive or clique but it’s the truth, and just so you know height really does not matter, not even close to how much you pay attention to the good u do, popularity don’t matter in school, what matters is how u take care of urself and the good you leave behind and do, focus on what YOU CAN CONTROL, this is the most important and what u really can control is your reaction to things and not the things themself, focus up king, you gotta build urself mentally, don’t box yourself into tryna fix everything outside.
