I won’t ever defend frank. But I do have moments of appreciation for his occasional arcs. He is a shit person. But he has moments where he shows different and even good colors. Like taking Liam to school. One of his good arcs. When he is sober. His sober arcs had so much potential and I was really disappointed when they had him relapse. It was actually because Frank got beaten up in that episode because of Ian. If I remember correctly it was due to Mandy becoming pregnant and Mandy's father thought it was Ian's (Mandy pretended to date Ian so people wouldn't find out he was actually into guys) Mandy's father didn't get to Ian first, but found Frank and beat him, Frank was mad and headbutt him :(
