Bad: Frank did this because he wanted to ruin her wedding. Sure he knew she would likely divorce the man once she found out anyways, but he did it this way because he *wanted* to hurt Sean and Fiona, because he needed to prove that he was right. utilitarianism only really applies to the long-term effects of an action, not the action itself. You can still say Frank did a bad thing with bad intentions, and is so incompetent that he inadvertently saved his daughter a lot of long-term heartache. But he was just pissed off at her and Sean so he knew the best place to really hurt them. So he sucks, he just sucked better than usual.

I mean Frank kinda became that tho. Don't know which episode it was but Frank was offered a decent amount of money if he abstained from drinking as a social experiment. He became a decent father after a couple of days of no alcohol. He even cooked breakfast for the Gallaghers. However when he decided to 'renovate' the Gallagher's home a bit. The family decided enough was enough and pretty much forced him to become an alcoholic again. Pretty much a couple steps up and then a hard tumble down. Kinda tragic

Carl had a strong moral code that eventually balanced out when he wanted to do good as a cop. Liam is great, but still has growing to do.
