@@iris089It's based on two competitions. The winner of the first competition becomes the Head of Household and nominates two fellow houseguests for eviction. The winner of the second competition gets the Power of Veto, and can save one of the two nominees, in which case the Head of Household has to nominate someone else other than themselves and the veto holder. Then, all houseguests except the nominees and the HOH vote to evict, and the HOH only votes to break a tie. No, this particular season (S16), had it slightly different: For the first half of the game, there were two HOHs, who each got to nominate two houseguests for eviction other than themselves or each other. After that, there would be another competition between the regular two, called "The Battle of the Block". In this new competition, the nominees would be paired up based on the HOH who nominated them, and would battle together against the other pair. The winning pair would be safe for the week, the HOH who nominated them would be dethroned and would become vulnerable for nomination, and the other HOH and their nominees would stay legit.
