When Vishy Anand played the world Championship match in 2010 with Topalov, a 16-year-old Anish Giri visited his training camp. From there to now being rivals of each other, Anand (Ganges Grandmasters) and Anish Giri (PBG Alaskan Knights) were pitted against each other at the Global Chess League. Check out the battle along with commentary by IM Sagar Shah.

I dont understand why vishy sir is not being able to win a single match now. Are magnus and vishy sir in a bad form or other are in a very good form? I dont mean to hurt anyone, but as a fan i am speaking.

Vishy sir is 55+ u can't expect him to play like he used to back in his glory days .. plus he doesn't have anything left to prove in chess he has already achieved every single title .. he just plays for fun these days

@@Sri-vp6is time increment was what let sir Vishy fumble this game. Nonetheless, he's in great form, and a draw is better than a defeat.

@@mooniex825 If winning positions are made to draw then it doesn't look good, this is a rapid chess format he is supposed to keep time in check after every move.

It simply means chess is not so simple game with age your calculative prowess gets weakened , thinking every possible move in a little time interval is actually tough , I'm 25 year old , yet I feel it so hard to play small time control games .. I take huge amount of time thinking for moves that looks so simple , I just crossed 1800 recently (in rapid ) , been playing chess for one and half year already regularly , and in blitz i'm not even able to cross 1000 😂 no matter what I do

Weak attempt at humor. It’s non-incremental time pressure play, so players often win, lose or draw from varied positions 😅
