I'm autistic too, and I thought the same about autism. We are the only one who really can change the world. So bullying autistic people seems childish to me.

Thanks so much for this video ! I have high functioning Autism and I love God and church , Ive always had very low self esteem about myself . I was always trying to hide my disability to fit in . I've never had good friends or a social life . I was bullied because I was different . But I know that God Made me this way for a reason and he has a great plan for me ☺️👍

Thank you Arinka Linders, who made this film... This video moved me to tears...If it is so...I may actually be here on Earth for a purpose. It would be nice to believe, because I have been here soooo long and have spent my life feeling like such a screw-up and loser, and trying not to be sad and depressed. I have been a trial and tribulation to my few friends and family, who think I just refuse to change and be what they think I should be. I have tried hard to be what they want, and in their eyes I have not measured up at all. Now, I am 62, and I guess I will never meet their expectations. This film made me feel like I may not be a total train wreck. Maybe my last few years might be happier, and have a chance to be something good and special. I sure hope so,in my mushy heart and too easily hurt spirit and soul. It is not as if they did not love me but being liked and accepted are still important to me, even when people say, "Oh, no ...just ignore THOSE people". Forgive my long diatribe. I am used to having to explain myself, and I babble, ramble, and am overly verbose. Thanks for putting up with me. I do appreciate it,gratefully and humbly.

I loved this video. My Mom was the one who found it and showed it to me and said "That's my Ashley". It does describe me to a T! I'm on the Autism Spectrum but I'm more higher functioning aka Aspergers. This video opened my Mothers eyes. Not that she didn't know already but it seemed to help her realize there would be no changing me. I am what I am and that's all there is to it! I love this part of me! I love being Creative! I like having an Imagination! Yes I do believe in God. Mock me if you will Those who don't but I do have this say. I Don't Go To Church! I could go on a whole rant of why but my main point is that none of it makes sense to me though I continue to believe only because I've had my experiences. Enough said. Thank You for making this video!!

I loved it, and am sharing on FB! very well written!! my nephew has ADHD and Autism, what so many people (who are NOT parents, much less parent/guardians of an autistic child) refuse to understand is there's no "changing" them, it's not an illness that can be cured, and all children with autism are created differently just like the rest of us, different traits, personalities, likes/dislikes, and so on, this creates a different type of autism for each child meaning some are nicer and easier to get along with than others... I mean could you imagine what that's like for a child attempting to understand it, being told this is what's wrong with you? i can picture how frustrating that can be for an adult, but for a child?? come on people at least try to understand.. then assholes are on here commenting negativity towards' children with autism calling them brat's... how dare you! shame on each of you who points negativity towards children with or without autism.

I am literally in shock after reading some of these comments. As an educated person I expect that people will always have differences in opinions. What I don't expect is that when someone has a different perception or opinion than you that you become verbally combative with them on a very personal level. I firmly believe that people who resort to name calling and cursing in the midst of an argument had nothing valid to say. You may have originally had a valid point but you debased yourself and t

Arinka, as a mature father, I've been raising my four-year-old daughter alone and I am blessed having her. Those writing negative comments would think differently if they had an autistic child. My daughter is aware of sincere smiles of others and is happiest with just the little things of life. My paintbrushes becomes dolls, and my big shoes are made for walking. @fimbles101 Yes, I wrote this. I often got mails with a poem about Mothers of Autistic children. This poem states that Mothers with such children have special skills because they get such difficult children. And they cry most of the time... Well, that poem gave me the creeps. Off course there are children who are severely handicapped and unable to make contact, but nowadays we KNOW that Autism goes around more frequently than thought so long time ago. So I decided to tell a different story...

Autism gives you intelligence beyond what you can imagine. Intelligence to see the true person somebody is, the intelligence logically...you have to really think about it. I have Asperger's Syndrome (a form of Autism) so I know how hard it can be, but there are always advantages too, something most disabilities do not have. It is a gift, especially compared to what you could have had instead.

And I became a Computer Technology SME for 20 years, and now I'm going to Law School in 4 years, now I'm my 8th College because I don't "get" math, yet 😃 and I've already worked 32 years. IQ 139, though mild brain damaged through profound medical malpractice and phycician PCP negligence, I'm 50, and disabled, (though not out because I'm not a quitter) because the World At large is CRUEL because they Still don't want to accept why the Autistic mindset is really a Personality Trait! I loved this. Made me think about why the numbers with autism are increasing. I do believe in God and maybe He does know our world needs more. Our world certainly needs to learn an ability to understand others and get along and maybe He's watching for who can do that. All levels of abilities, but I do believe each and every one is here for a reason. I've worked to help, but don't live with an autistic child. Can't imagine how hard that is, but glad to see those finding the blessings.

After watching this video, I can honestly say that I'm a bit ashamed that I'm not using my gifts much in this world. On the other hand, will people be remotely interested? Autism is a great thing to endure, and a difficult thing to accept, but let's just say with all the incredible things I can do as an autist, as much as it's hard to fit in with them, it's impossible to stand out without them. I'd rather stand out for the Lord.

I must say, I was surprised by this when I randomly thought to look for anything that was a Christian movie with an autisic kid in it, this was a pleasant surprise. I admit, it has a few flaws, ad maybe with a little tweaking and if you wherent afraid to add some darker elements to explain why there are lower functioning ASD and why people can be mean to use, this be one of the best things ever. (IM me if you're ever up for that) However, on awhole, you did a fine job and I'm sure gave a lot of people and parents new to autism something positive to chew on

Dont let other peoples remarks hurt you. ASD is such a hard diagnosis and we know so little about what causes it and how to treat is, because everyone is so different. It is unlike any other disorder. But parents and loved ones we are overly emotional because no one can give us answers. And we want to be correct in the treatments and beliefs we hold, because if not then we failed these beautiful children. I believe the anger directed at the creator of this video is misplaced hurt and fear

Im in a similar situation. My oldest son who is 3 is suspected of being autistic. So it made me look at myself like, "well something must be wrong with me, its my fault my child is this way". My son is progressing slowly, and i believe he is a overcomer.. He is doing things he wasnt able to do at first...he is very aware of his surroundings he just cant communicate his feelings in a way that he imagines to. Im often able to tell if there are unclean spirits around because he will "tear"...he will go into a loud, long, extended fit. One thing God has told and shown me, was that my son is helping me to be more patient, more loving, more aware of others needs....more Christlike!!! Amen!! One day, all children will be made whole when we go to be with our Lord.

My disability is on the autistic spectrum and I live a normal life! :) Everyone with autism is normal just the like the rest of the "Normal" people in society, we all have feelings, we all love, we all want to express our feelings, we all have hopes and dreams. We live normal lives just in different ways. Please dont think this is a thing of evil by god.

Cont.... That makes your point mute. I applaud the author for publishing "her truth" which she didn't state as fact, it's just her opinion, belief and experience.

As a teenager with High Functioning autism, I would have to disagree with this video, then all the inventions that made humanity go forward could be blamed on autism. A touching idea, I know, but an unrealistic one.

Maybe He's autistic himself. ;) He repeats everything, He shows no emotion, He is not social and He made Earth spin round. As I've stated in my description, I don't know if I believe in God, it's an answer to a poem where mothers cry because of their autistic children which bothered me. It says they're special so they can deal with their troubled children. Well I don't agree to that! It doesn't say I feel more than others of better, just at peace with who I am and how God, if He exists made me.

Ah hm. Excuse me? Ever heard of Amanda bags? Lo functioning, famous for not wanting to be cured. There's an Autism website run by Autistic people who can't use the toilet, and injure themselves all the time, and have expressed not wanting to be cured. Patience is the key. Patience patience patience. Just love them for who they are and never fantasize about what they'd be like if they were "normal" because that's what will make you feel really bad.
