When God is Silent

Sometimes, as Christians, we pray for God’s help, and it feels like our prayers bounce off the ceiling. God seems preoccupied elsewhere. Psalm 13 helps us understand how to respond when God doesn’t seem present or active.

My situation too he's been silent on me for quiet some time I have suffered greatly I feel my Faith isn't there anymore I'm so stressed out I pray but found myself uncontrollably crying my whole soul out , I don't feel My prayers being hard or answered or even just a sign to comfort me... Shenetres, It sounds like you are really stressed and you may well be right that Satan is attacking you because that is just what Satan does. However, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, remember this verse from 1 John 4:4 "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world." This is a tough topic to understand. Especially for me, being in complete despair for 5 months. Crying out, being in pain with little relief. It's taken such a toll on me. Praying that God would give instructions on my situation and just speak to me to confirm he's listening and working in my life. Nobody really seems to know why God does that to his children. However, I'm going to try and stay in faith that he will show up with a breakthrough one day.

Yeah I've been praying and waiting for on a wife for four and a half years and Lord appeared to me in a dream 2 years ago and said trust he said it two t times. That was 2 years ago and now I'm getting nothing but silence I'm so frustrated and mad at him. This video does help but I'm still thinking about giving up .

I understand your frustration and don't know that I would be doing any better however, trusting God means that you are placing your full confidence in Him - regardless. I'm telling you man, please wait on God! Just went through a crazy toxic cycle for years with someone that took forever to break. I'm telling you man, it's way better to wait on God and take the gifts he gives you than to lean on your own understanding and end up in a vicious cycle that could've been avoided if you waited on God. Not trying to pin my pain or my experience on you..just speaking from what I came through and I'm telling you, ESPECIALLY since God gave you his word 😪, WAIT on him! The minute you give up and lean on your own understanding that's when the devil appears and the deceiver knows how to deceive and it'll be even worse bc you'll think about God and how he give you his word but you didn't wait. Telling you man, please, just wait and know she's coming. Your wife is coming.

I agree with you but with respect to your original comment I was thinking of Paul's comment in Romans 1:20 "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and [a]Godhead, so that they are without excuse,...." Does George Washington has to come back alive and run as a president again for you to believe he was a president? If you believe the historical facts about any historical figures, why can't you believe Jesus's? Everything around you is the evidence of God, just as every building has a builder, how magnificent our body or pretty much anything on this earth created must has a Creator. And you asked why God didn't stop suffering? He did when He ordered the Isareliets to kill the Canaanites because they sacrificed their babies to Baal by letting them sizzle death. And the atheists complained and used it as an argument about how killing Canaanites were immoral of God. I know there are megachurches only preach the prosperity gospel which is unbiblical, yes they only care about entertaining and tickle the ears of the people for a profit. Those are not real churches of Jesus Christ. I'm here because I feel so distant from God but I know He's real, He answered me before and changed my life. I'm so quickly forget that sometimes, but thank you so much because you reminded me of how I was before Him. I truly hope you would find the truth one day.
