Priorities these days are INSANE. I'd be thanking, hugging, kissing, get the contacts of the officers and sending baskets of food to them without a doubt. @firetrucksrule07 same here! Had a kitchen fire a few years back, mum at work, I was at school, while they were putting out the fire our neighbour came running and yelled at the firemen to let her in and check because there were five cats in there (we foster) and they seriously just went "we didn't see any" like WTF there are tons of cat trees and litter boxes and you're just like "nope, no cats here" THANK GOD everyone was fine and they were too terrified to even try to escape.. When my idiot father (who worked at the school) just flatly told me that there was a fire and just "it's fine" without any more details, I obviously ran home from school (calling my 20 years older half-sister crying, because I needed some distraction while walking as fast as possible) and when I arrived, the big chaos was already over and I came home to my mum and neighbour cleaning all off the glass shards from our (custom made) balcony door.... crazy day.... 🙃 I used to have recurring nightmares about me standing on the hill that a neighbouring house is on and watching a Tornado come through (I don't even live in a place where they happen, I'm in Germany and not even Northern Germany 😅) and my main concern whenever I think about smth like that or thinking "what if disaster xyz happened and we had to leave immediately??" is ALWAYS with my cats 😅😅
