Okay, my story will be cliché for most of us but with an unpredictable final. One day me and my mate decided to go on a mission in the morning. That time when most of people got to trier working places and it was still quiet on the street. The aim was on the wall near the pier in the centre of our city. The process was great - none of the elders passing by disturbing us BUT. Maybe 1 min to go, we heard the police officers coming, and we had no way to run away (bc of the location) They caught us and delivered to the office. After some time there we were free, and do you know why? Bc that stupid ass officers didn’t found whose property that was. Building that wall there was illegal, so the fact that we painted it was not a crime at all. That’s my story;)

That is crazy! What a lucky hit haha. If only there was a way to see which walls were illegally built for the future 🤔

If your bombing a spot or trainyard, a great tip would be to plan your mission ahead ,check for cameras in the daylight ,escape routes ,which side or fence will you go in and out. I remember when i was on a freight mission ,i didnt do those things at all ,just started painting without any precautions,and than at one moment i heard a sound ,peaked my head under the train and there was a security trying to sneak up on me ,luckly he was on the other side ,when i saw him i just started running and he was chasing me and yelling . I was sure that no one saw me ,so probably the cameras.

My first piece I've done was located under a brige in a poor hood. When I did the piece the sprays didn't work very well and after 7 minutes a taxi driver was driving on the alley in my back and stops 20 metters away, I've seen he had his phone close to his ear and it was clear, he called the police. After about 5 minutes I finished my piece but who's coming? Well the police, I droped the spray and I walked and I walked. My luck is they didn't notice I was painting on the wall so I was very lucky that day. Now, before I go to do a piece I always do a very good plan. I even remember that the date of the day, it was 27 february 2021. Anyway, very good topic to cover in a video. Keep going man!

A bit ago there was this one roof spot that lots of people will see because it’s central downtown, I’ve had lots of experience with roofs before and have painted lots of them. The route to get up on the roof is kind of sketchy at first you have to jump a really loud creaky gate and there was three of us so one person jumped it and opened it for the other 2, the whole time the gate was being let opened there was the loudest sound of creaking ever, keep in mind we are painting a roof right beside apartments. Anyway I’ve tried to paint this roof 2 times before this time and you have to climb some stuff then walk across this little building thing then proceed to jump a gap, while walking across the little building thing there is probably 5 different apartments on the right of you with there windows right there that you have to pass, and there’s always this one lady that’s always up, the previous 2 times she’s been there so we have left the area before she sees us, but this time her lights and stuff where still on so we tryed to walk across the building thingy before she came back into the main room where she watches tv. We made it across jumped the gap and started painting the roof, she must have heard us because a bit into painting 2 cops appear on the roof with flashlights, one of my homies strait up jumped onto a little ledge then off the ledge on to the street, me and my other homie where about to do the same but we see a cop van zoom right in the direction he was running, the cops on the roof see the paint and where actually suprised, the woman who called the cops must of thought we where stealing bikes because that’s what the officer told us, anyways a fire truck comes and uses a ladder to bring us down, when we get down, because they where responding to theft there was 9 cop cars/vans and all with lights on. Keep In mind I was only 14 so mom was not so proud😂

One thing that's invaluable these days, especially for slightly higher-rent areas, is some way of checking for security cameras that are better hidden - the big beige bricks are easy to spot but nowadays they're so small they can tuck em anywhere and you wouldn't know it most of the time. Luckily, almost all of em have some insanely bright infrared LEDs on em so any camera that has night vision can spot any OTHER night vision camera just by turning off your own LEDs and looking for places that, to naked eye, are dark but on IR are lit up like a floodlight. A cheap security camera or a burner phone with the IR filter removed works, but my fave's personally a cheap Ebay spotting scope - with both eyes open you can compare between naked eye and IR a lot easier, and the resolution's better. Anyway, my graff story was painting at what's usually a chill spot at a park under a railroad bridge, it's COVERED in tags but it's also a bit of a "cornered rat" scenario cause one side of the trestle opens into thick woods in the park but the other side's an 8 foot fence ON TOP OF another 8 foot of concrete wall where 4 or 5 drainage tunnels converge, from the parking lot of a mall. I'd passed some other people just smoking weed by the entrance but someone must've smelled it and called the cops, cause they came in and I was having a serious sphincter-clenching moment as I ducked into one of the drainage tunnels that went at an angle to things. It REEKED of spray paint and they even shined their flashlights in the ENTRANCE to the drains but I was a good 50 feet down one tunnel before they looked and was running really quiet, so they somehow didn't see me and just left...

Another pretty obvious is don't bring anything personal that might fall out your pocket. Hit a spot once and continued to other surrounding areas before later realizing my wallet fell out, was luckily able to find it but I truly forgot to not have it on me at that time

I just kept slugging along hehe!

Next thing I know some goof rolls up on me all like "you just tagged my garage" I was like "oops" and he kept following me on the phone with the cops and I tried to haul ass to my girlfriends house but just as I got to her alleyway a pig cruiser skids around the corner. Lights flashing all that. My girlfriend notices the lights and runs outside and somehow she wasn't shocked to see me standing there in cuffs. I was like "are you gonna take me in? I gotta work today." I think the cop realized it wasn't worth the paper work so he let me go. Nothing happened except maybe a misdemeanor for mischief on my record. This was like two years ago. I recently visited some friends and painted at a lost place and both of them didn't visit these often so they were SUPER paranoid. One of them said that he saw two guys in a helmet and assumed that they were cops, so we hid in an empty hall nearby, keeping an eye out. We then went back and saw two bikes near the entrance, so I came to the conclusion that it was just two kids with their bike helmets on that he saw, haha. Soon after we came across them, and they were pretty chill, said they were gonna keep watch and notify us if they see anything, since they were on a tall tower above us. Few minutes passed by, I finished my throw-up and started doing some tags, and sure enough they come down running to us saying that some workers yelled one of the guys names. So I packed my stuff again, and we wanted to hide in the same hall we did last time since we weren't sure if they were bullshitting. As soon as we heard someone yell from a distance as well we hauled ass and jumped over a wall, and there we split ways with them on the main road. I doubt they'll ever see this comment since they didn't look like taggers to me, but that's what I like about the urbex-community. Always on the lookout for each other 🤙

I'm still fairly new to the graff scene (almost a year) but I've gotten fined already because one of my close teachers ratted me out (I think I told this story in the grog bpi vid) but I haven't been in anymore trouble. Only thing is that one of my favorite spots where I did my first ever piece and throwie, was purchased and is now private property. Still gonna paint there though, it's a 3 story abandoned building it's perfect. Another risk there though is that I live in a somewhat ghetto area and the building is claimed by a "king jay" but I'm pretty sure it's some tough guy tryna act tough and cool. And also, I'm in a small town where nothing happens, so the cops would just be so excited to arrest you because they have nothing better to do. Still though, I'm really enjoying this and I already have some style and I'm in a crew.

Was out balming in mid day as a youngin', next thing I know mans there with a camera phone after I just layed a tag down, so I ran do gooder guy chases me behind a building, - had a paint can in hand and as I'm running full sprint I drop it and take a few steps back to pick it up. Wound up getting tossed in jail for the night just to have the charges dropped. Pleaded my case as an innocent person putting positive messages up of inspiration expressing my rights of freedom. They basically told me it was because i was painting a building without permission, and that public property is basically fair game. Fast forward a couple years later and I am at a different spot and after not even a minute of painting cops on bikes pull up and say they been watching me the entire time i get tossed in jail for the night again and had to plead non guilty after duty council lawyers tried to make me plea guilty, it was such a waste of my time, in and out of court for over a year. Eventually I won the case again and had my charges dropped. So I've been arrested 3 times actually there was another time that was much like the first, and still have a clean record because of being adamant that I am not a criminal and graffiti saved me from being a drug addict basically, I told them it should be legal, and until than they'll always have a problem with street artists because we have the right of expression in my country. Most times people compliment me whenever I do happen to cross paths with a pedestrian and that makes me feel good like I am meant to be doing what I love and that people do enjoy seeing art versus random profanity or just dull colourless city scapes.

The yard is like a bitch, sometimes you got to fuck the yard up and sometimes you need to leave it alone.. 🤣😭 thats how a crew in my town got busted because they bombed the yard every week sometimes 2/3 times a week

I don't have many stories as I only just started, but my first experience was very interesting. so, i was with a friend that was also a beginner, and we decided to check out a chill spot that was a tunnel that backed into a national park near our houses. we went in the late afternoon, and once we got there we started, but soon we noticed that there was a smell of smoke in the air. (I'm an Aussie, so it was a concern.) We decided to investigate, only to find that the national park had caught fire, and there were a ton or police and firefighters. so we had to go to the end of the tunnel and hope that it led out another way. we ended up in another park, but this one had cameras, so we tried to look as not suspicious as possible, and quickly walked home. the fire ended up being pretty big so I'm just lucky that we abandoned the spot to investigate.

Dang, that sucks about the fire too. Different areas in Canada (my country) had a lot of forrest fires this past summer as well. It's always a worry for some people who live near those areas 😬

ik im late but anyway i have a good story. i was painting a frieght train solo and everthing whent ok but when i was leaving the yard a passanger train rolloed up on the last rail before the fence blocking my path. it was like 2 am and when i trined passing in front of the parked passanger train i saw the guy writing some thing in a notebook. i had to pass infront of his train and i knew he would see me so i juste said fuck it and run in front, i think he saw me and mabey tried to call the yard workers but i juste jumed the fence and dipped

Here in portugal u can get a 25k fine just for graffiti
@ScizGraffiti Жыл бұрын
yikes, sounds about how I'd imagine given how expensive a lot of things are supposed to be in Portugal haha. In all seriousness that seems super dumb though. There's no way making a massive fine is gonna solve their problem

okay so the year is 2021 and i was into graffiti for like half a year and i wanted to do my 2nd piece under a bridge. I got to the spot and started painting next to my piece i did a few days ago. i was half way into the filling and there was quite some peaople around me some of them came by and said its nice and stuff and they went by, but i saw an older man in the distance jogging towards me but i wasnt worried and continued to do the outline and shandows. When he was like 4 meters away from me he said: Hey kid do you have anyithing else to spend your time with other than this sh*t? then he told me to pack my stuff and get out of there before he calls the cops on me... Then he walks away while throwing 2 handful of rocks on me. I got home and never told anyone about it. So yea thats my story hope you like it

would not reccomend that rubber band shit u did w the cans when actually bombing that takes too much time to fuck with at a hotspot
@ScizGraffiti Жыл бұрын
I've found it works really well personally, especially if you've got just 3 cans. you can slide one out and back in before removing the next colour. don't knock it till ya try it!

if the cops already saw you doing graffiti, donn't run, just accept that you lost this day, running from cops is way too dangerous
