You can use Polar Star's effect twice if you utilize Big Dipper's effect by banishing a card in the GY.

You can use it even more than that if you have some spell cards in the grave that let you substitute the cost, like Departure or Ursarctic Drytron

It was Septentrion, the big Synchro bear. He negates all Extra Deck monster effects if they do not have a level. Since Link monsters can't have levels, it's effects were negated

icejade curse-lock is better since it affect non Extra Deck monster too ~

It’s weaker then Ice Jade lock but more consistent in pulling it off.
