Honestly, he will probably try to rebuild. How that's going to go, well, probably not well. He was patient enough to handle this for about a year, but he's going to be walking on eggshells not to make this worse. All while trying to hunt the cause and trying to notice every need his newly traumatized human might decide to mask.
