I do get really into the technicalities. I’m glad you can geek out with me! 🤩 🤓

🎉The figure circle/image overlays in this video are so helpful!! Thank you for including those visual aides! 🫶🙏🛼🌻💫🤘🥳🤗

I’m so glad they helped. Sometimes I end up just flapping my arms around and then cameraman (who is also editor) makes sense of it all. 😜

You read my mind. Given that I'd always thought of 3-turns as an 24-headed hydra, only to be told that only eight of those heads were actually a 3-turn, I was going to ask if what you describe as a bracket turn was even possible, and if it had a name. I have my answer. Of course, it's all purely for academic purposes because all these one-foot turns are far beyond the limits of my ability. But cheers for showing us anyway. I will now hatch a completely different inquisition instead, one which I might actually be able to tackle.

You'd have said a "wrong way" turn was impossible a year ago! You never know what you can achieve.

@@Skatie I'm getting to the absolute limits of my ability on those wrong-way-round transitions (in that practice is no longer making progress, it is merely preventing skill atrophy). I'd need to be able to lift one axle on one foot... and I've tried, and it's going nowhere. After all, a Ford F-350 heavy-duty pickup truck doesn't handle the same way as a Lotus Elise...

Is it possible to do these outdoors, with outdoor wheels?
@Skatie4 ай бұрын
Yes, but it will be harder on softer wheels and a rougher surface. You'd need to lift the wheels more to get the turn, it's much easier on a smooth surface with harder wheels,

what if i do a bunch of consecutive three turns is it still a three turn? as a jam skater Ill be doing three turns from forward to backwards to forwards etc quickly in succession so that I’m still going straight is there a name for that? I typically follow it with a 180 or 360 (still learning axles lol)

Hi Skatie, I was wondering what wheels you are using in this video. Thank you! X
@Skatie4 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm using some of my vintage stock here, these are Boiani Star 70D wheels, super slick, elastomer wheels. They're my favourites but sadly not made anymore.

Is a three turn different than a pivot?
@Skatie4 ай бұрын
Good question. Technically, all these turns can be used as pivots but Pivots can also be done in place, think of the crab, and can be done as 1/4 & 1/8 turns too when done in place. Pivots often refer to these turns when done in succession, which can also be called travellings but both will use a variation of the turns in this video. Phew, it all starts to get very technical.
