Been to Destin twice; just returned home from 2nd trip. First time August 2018 and second May 2022. Lot of thunderstorms this time, but both trips were fun. Similar prices and crowds both times. Great place for a beach vacation.

I lived in France for several years , I rode my bike! Not bicycle. , just assumed every time I opened the garage door for cold and or raining at any moment. But I rode anyway, because if I didn’t. I would never get to ride. Waiting on the warm weather , however. I moved here 2 years ago. Because of the weather and beautiful gulf

I want to know if the water is clear in July
@livingontheemeraldcoast62162 жыл бұрын
Hi there! The waters on the Emerald Coast are clear pretty much year round. The only exception to this is if a heavy storm rolls through. However, in July, you should be good to go!

I am planning a trip to Miramar beach end of March beginning of April. Is it like a chilly morning, luke warm day and chilly to cold evening?? We are looking to do more shell searching and things like that on the beach. Do you think the temps would be agreeable for those kind of things?
@livingontheemeraldcoast62162 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Great question. March will typically have temperatures that range from the low 70s during the day to the mid 50s in the evening. April tends to be a bit warmer, but not much. April averages highs from the mid to upper 70s and lows in the lower 60s. It would be chilly mornings, luke warm days, and cold evenings. Despite that, I would say the March and April are still pretty comfortable climate wise (i.e. not sweating too much during the day and not feeling really cold in the evenings). To answer your question, if you are going to walk on the beaches during the day, it will probably still be fine and you'd enjoy it. Evenings might be a little chillier than you may want or perfer, but still be enjoyable. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the video. Planning on vacationing this summer in Destin. What's your advice on visiting in August. I was seeing that many hotel prices would dio down towards the end of that month. Any hotel recommendations in that area or Fort Walton Beach that price is reasonable?
@livingontheemeraldcoast62162 жыл бұрын
Being that you’ll want to visit at the tail end of summer, you’ll probably want to pack clothes that can get you through a rainy day just in case. Although, more than likely, you’ll still get a lot of sun and some really good weather. In terms of hotel recommendations, it really depends on what kind of amenities you’d like where you stay. Destin has a wide range of options. If you plan on spending most of your time outside the hotel, then a simple hotel with the bare minimum will suffice (save you some money too), but if you think you’d like to enjoy a more resort style feel, then there several places to choose from. If you are looking for more reasonable prices, then the hotels/resorts on okaloosa island and in fort Walton beach will be more affordable (marginally). We would recommend calling around to see what their rates would be so you can get a better idea of what you’d be willing to spend. If we could give a rough number of how much you’d spend on a hotel, it’ll probably be around $200/night range. Hopefully this helps.

Call the hotels direct you will get a better deal. There main 1 800 for hotels will not discount like talking direct. The 4 points is a good hotel for the money.
